treaty problem

Postby Darkylightytwo » Wed Sep 10, 2014 1:00 am

Hello, I have sign two treaty on the role on the media,

http://classic.particracy.net/viewtreat ... atyid=2722
http://classic.particracy.net/viewtreat ... atyid=2580

One of them only prevent the state from owning all media.
The other, the one I draft, forces all media to be non-profit cooperatives.

So I believe my state should only be able to vote on these two values

All radio stations are owned by independent non profit making cooperatives which are subsidised by the government
All radio stations are owned by independent non profit making cooperatives which receive no subsidies from the government

but someone could still make all media privates or most of them private, which would violate my own treaty. but the nation will be cosidered as having ratified it.

Could you make a law violating the treaty, and linking to it (it doesn't have to be set to vote)?

What you've posted alone isn't bugged - the proposals would never be greyed out or just not present, but you'd get an error message if you tried choosing them and clicked on "next".

No, I did not get an error message,
The other day, conservatives present bil with proposal that would violate treaties and look at this bill, I have just present a bill that violate the treaty I presented.
it clear the my law are binding according to less restrictive treaty and not the most restrictive treaty, .
http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill. ... lid=417281, I just present a law that will allow commercial whalling. and I could even vote on it.

and this law, the conservative was able to put a law that violate a treaty to the vote. http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill. ... lid=417130

I've informed Wouter.

I have a similar problem, Kanjor is a member of these treaties:

http://classic.particracy.net/viewtreat ... atyid=2715
http://classic.particracy.net/viewtreat ... atyid=2716
http://classic.particracy.net/viewtreat ... atyid=2872

each with its own provisions regarding the state religion law. Only the "softest" terms appear to be enforced, I have created a bill (http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill. ... lid=425116) where I have overridden the terms of the Secularist and Atheist International by choosing "There is an official state religion, but membership is completely voluntary".

I am not sure if it's actually the softest terms that get implemented, or if it's because the treaty with the softest terms appear first in the list.
