Party Ideology Positions Glitched

Postby Zohius Snake » Mon Jan 01, 2018 9:12 pm

It appears that all parties in our nation may have glitched positions especially in relation to centralization which all parties are decentralized or at least have voted as such and we all have unitarist-leaning, which makes no sense if you look at the last 10 bills voted on with a few wholly devoted to decentralization and yet there appears to be no change in our parties positions.

Another concern is how a party with little to no visibility on all issues and managed to get more seats than two other parties which have excellent visibility on issues.

Examples of bills that should definitely have changed the position of the parties that voted

Switching the party position to "federal" is notoriously difficult, since voting on anything other than "the local government handles this" for most laws that have that option will switch your position to "unitarist".

The party you mentioned as gaining seats in spite of its low visibility probably did so as a result of its position on the market. The party is the only one with a laissez-faire position in the nation, and for two regions "laissez-faire" is vital.

To a large extent however the algorithm can be quite hard to predict and may appear random at times. Even players with years of experience in the game often find themselves at a loss trying to explain their election results :)

Hope that helps.

The second one was less of a concern, although in relation to the centralization party positions, a few parties did exactly that, including mine which voted exclusively local government handles this and yet all parties seemed locked on unitarist leaning, and looking at the bills, you too may see some sort of discrepancy and in the past this hasn't been a problem. A fairly recent concern regarding the strangely not changing positions as they typically have changed in the past based on how the parties voted and our party positions for example has always been federalist and voted such and all of a sudden it seems locked on it. If there isn't anything to be done, then its fine although its just strange that this is occurred all of a sudden.
