DDR - Reich Peace Conference

Postby Revionx » Tue Jul 26, 2016 1:09 am

In a shocking move Head of State Nicolas Kolb, so proclaimed by the DDR in exile, has invited representatives from the Reich to negotiate the matter of war crimes committed during the Dundorfian Civil War and subsequent invasion by Dorvik as well as the re integration of approximately 1.2 million citizen of Dundorf who fled the country at the end of the war. Tensions are high as international analysts speculate whether this conference could end the pending issue of a accused genocide while others suspect the conference will end with the status quo. Either way the conference promised to be a historic moment in Dundorf's history that many hope could help to end the religion driven infighting that has plagued Dundorf for many years.

"Delegates from the Reich, it is urgent that we cease our quarrel and come together to aid in reconstruction. As such, the DDR is willing to acknowledge the Reich, cede military and financial materials and aid in reintegration under the following conditions, 1: No harm will come to any person who fled Dundorf, 2: No charges are to be brought against any GRP in exile members for war crimes, 3: an official apology is given to Mr. Wolfgang Suess and Mrs. Hildegarde Heuberger for the false accusations made against them."

Head of Government GRPIE

Foreign Minister Faust-Essen arrives in Lourenne

Foreign Minister Wilhelm Faust-Essen

In a stunning move the Dundorfische Reich's Government has allowed for a peace conference at the Dundorfische embassy in Lourenne to proceed. The Reich has steadfastly refused to acknowledge the GiE that has sought political refuge in Lourenne for the past several years, though they haven't moved for the Lourenne Government to do anything about them either. This reach out, likely a move to finally end the years of lingering resentment between the extreme left that lead the DDR during its dying days and the new centre right FP lead Reich, is hoped to be resolved quickly.

"With respect Frau Kolb I don't think you are in much position to be making demands. You are a government in exile, exiled because your government fled a nation you aided in destroying instead of remaining to face justice or aid in the reconstruction effort. These are the efforts we are willing to make to you.

We will openly and gladly accept the reintegration of all Dundorfische citizens back home.

As for the additional two matters however we have issues; war crimes were quite clear performed against Dundorf, including the rampant and willful destruction of the city of Zerlin or Dunberg. Further war crimes have continued to be committed with the murder of civilians by GRP insurgents in the post War Dundorf. In addition no apology will be given to either Herr Seuss or the deceased Frau Heuberger; there was very clear evidence or genocide against the Hosian population, the Graves were found, the witnesses interviewed and perpetrators all fled; innocent people do not run.

Our counter proposal is thus; all lower ranking members of the GRP will be exonerated from any war crimes unless clear evidence has been found against them. We will however expect any military or major political leaders to stand trial; the fact of the matter is that the Volksarmee committed clear crimes against its own populace and while we won't blame the soldiers for merely following their orders, SOMEONE had to order them to do what they did."

"Innocent people run from guilty men. We have seen no movement to address the war crimes committed by the Von Hess organization against thos not of their faith. These charges are clearly politically motivated. Let us also not forget that the GRP was the only party pushing fore religious freedom and if anyone is to be blamed it is the SED. As for our "position" let it be known that the GRP still has substantial assets available to them. We will however allow our members to stand trial if the trial is conducted by an international tribunal of non belligerents and if the SED and Van Hess Organization members also stand trial. On the matter of Zerlin, it was a legitimate military target and now laws were broken during the attack."

"If you had stuck around in Dundorf you'd have seen the things we've done against the Von Hess Organization. They were disbanded and are now outlawed as a terrorist organization in the Reich. We can't really try their leadership as your missile Strike on Zerlin that killed thr senior Dorvische diplomat to the Patriarchy wiped most of them out. You did most of our work dismantling them for us. Rest assured, if anyone in the Von Hess Organization resurfaces they will be tried."

"The SED Leadership for what we've seen took an entire backseat to the Heuberger Leadership; the President and her Chancellor, the Defence, Foreign Affairs and Internal Affairs Ministers were all members of the GRP during the Civil War... can you tell me what exactly the SED was guilty of during the Civil War?"

"The only assets the Government in Exile have are stolen from Dundorf and are assets we haven't pursued yet... let me make this bluntly clear; your government in exile exists becyase the Reich allows it, not because you aren't unreachable. The Foreign Affairs Minister for the country already offered to extradite the entire Government in exile back to Dundorf to face immediate justice.. you were deported becyase I personally didn't pursue it. Further your destruction of Zerlin ceased being a military Strike when you attacked every part of the city with missiles and artillery, reducing most of it to rubble ans killing hundreds of thousands of civilians, even acter the bulk of the Dorvische military had vacated the city. However we aren't here for semantics.. we are here for peace."

"The trial will be done by an international tribunal, of justices from three nations that did not take part in the conflict. The GRP members and military leadership who commanded the Volksarmee will stand trial, along with any members of the SED and the VHO who can be found that committed war crimes."

"3 nations is not enough. There should be at least 6. And rest assured, we would have no problem disappearing if we chose to. You have by no means forced us into a corner."

"Riddle me this. How many civilized Government's do you think will hide Exiled Government figures accused of committing Religicide against their people... especially figures that can't disprove the claims. I also note you didn't explain what the SED was guilty of seeing us they can't have been guilty of much behind going along with the Heuberger Regime."

"Regardless we will allow for five nations. These are to be neutral that didn't serve in the conflict. Further you will surrender all assets, financial and otherwise, to the Reich immediately. Any GRP insurgents hiding in Dundorf are to turn themselves in immediately; on the promise that they are pardoned for their actions assuming they aren't found to have under suspect to committed war crimes."

"several. Almost all top military commanders were members of the SED. We will surrender the assets upon the conclusion of the trials at which point our associates in Dundorf will cease their actions"
