1st General Assembly Session

Postby Aquinas » Sun Nov 13, 2016 11:53 pm

Below are the archived discussions of the 1st General Assembly Session, which lasted from 4113 to 4128.

Tibor Lengyel, chairman of the Hosian Democratic Union in New Endralon/Kizenia:

On behalf of my party, I want to endorse Kalistan's motion against slavery in the strongest terms. Our national parliament is in the process of debating the issue and we hope it will be able to announce a declaration of support very soon.

Slavery is one of the great evils in Terra, and the World Congress, in co-operation with the Security Council and national governments across Terra, should do everything it can to stamp it out.

The great culprits here are the governments of Deltaria and Saridan, which wilfully allow the wicked institution of slavery to function within their territories. However, we must not be complacent and should not presume slavery is just confined to a few rogue countries. As many of us will be aware, slavery can take all sorts of forms, and can pass by largely un-noticed even in the most advanced and apparently civilised cities in the world. Most here will know what I mean. People forced into domestic servitude; people forced into sex work; people forced into working in inhuman conditions...much of this goes on right under our noses.

We would also like to ask the Security Council to call for a more consistently humane treatment of refugees and immigrants, since it is so often the case that harsh and unwise laws make refugees and immigrants vulnerable to exploitation by the scrupulous. In our view, it will be almost impossible to effectively deal with the problem on a world-wide basis unless this issue is very seriously addressed.

Lucian Petrescu, secretary of the Hosian Democratic International and former Minister of Justice in New Endralon/Kizenia:

I echo the words just spoken by my colleague, Mr. Lengvel. Let me add that one of the great tragedies here is that, too often, religion has been used an excuse or as a cover for the exploitation of the most vulnerable brothers and sisters amongst us. In this regard, I have a special message for the so-called Ameliorate Republic [Saridan]: you claim our religion for yourselves, but in the way you allow slavery to flourish, you do not represent the true teachings and values of our faith.

Rasmus Ingebretsen, Political Leader of the Nasjonal Sosialistisk Folkeparti in Kazulia
On a separate note, and I hope that this is pushed to the Security Council, that is security in the Anantonese Ocean. The Anantonese Ocean is the home of many disputes with respect to territory, trade and military movement. The most recent of such disputes comes with after the brawl between Kalistan and Baltusia which ended in a resentment of all hostilities. In response to such events, as a means of "prevention", the The Anantanese Ocean Pact was formed. The Anantanese Ocean Pact fused to efforts of nations such as United Republic of Kalistan, Confederația Noului Endralon, Kizenia și Kuzakiului [New Endralon / Kizenia], 2nd Great Democratic Republic of Lodamun, Baltusia, Federal Union of Gaduridos, Grand Duchy of Vorona/Marele Ducat al Voronei, La République Socialiste Populaire Lourennais (People's Socialist Republic of Lourenne), Karaliste Dolgarijas (Kingdom of Dolgaria), República de Egelion (Republic of Egelion) as a means of ensuring security in the Anantonese Ocean, as well as a response to activities deemed a threat to security of the nations bordering the Ocean as well as the trade routes that come with it. Although, the in roads made by the The Anantonese Ocean Pact have been beneficial to fostering security in the Anantonese Ocean, we believe that it has failed in its infancy and frankly was doomed to fail. The Pact gave its signatory nations justifiable cause to "close the entire ocean to naval movements of any non-Signatory State". I believe that, that above itself is a ventilation of the Law of the Sea Treaty. Security in the Anantonese Ocean can only be fostered and developed through qualitative and cooperative means. This means that inorder for security to be met within the Anantonese Ocean, it should be fostered on terms to nations within and outside of the Anantonese Ocean can agree on. It diplomatic mess, if the Anantonese Ocean Pact were to continue on its marginalization of the Law of the Sea Treaty.

Ameliorate Historical Union floor leader Rev. Geert Verdonk addresses the General Assembly.

We wish to express our extreme distress at the ongoing and unfair targeting by the secular forces which dominate this so called World Congress...more like Secular Leftist Feminist Congress. Much has been said about Saridan's human trade and all of it reveals very little understanding of Saridanese society. We are strict followers of the scripture and aim to preserve only those institutions that are maintained and found in the Annunciation um true Hosianism, not the faux New Age type that our good 'Hosian' friends in the Confederation seem to favour.

It is hardly surprising that we are correct since we do not follow the orders of some old red socks type in Dolinka or Auroria. The lies of those two religious tyrants are well known and they have suppressed the true word of the Annunciation in favour of easy going and extravagant pagan ceremony. Did Eliyahu's disciple Thomas not caution slaves to obey their masters and be sated with their lot in life? Of course you would rather follow what the red whore of Auroria or Dolinka baselessly dictates and not the first man and Annunciant who recognised Eliyahu after his return from Hell.

Slavery as an institution, is not a burden but an honour for the lesser peoples who are barely able to feed, civilise or develop themselves. They get food, medical care, religious nourishment and shelter in exchange for some honest work on our farms. How is that an evil institution? Would it really be better to just let the poor, undeveloped peoples to just starve and continue to regress back to the evolutionary level of primates? No! it is not and that is why this noble institution must continue... at least until the subjected peoples have sufficiently developed to care for themselves. We will simply not be bullied into destroying this great system of social security for the undeveloped.

Giovanni Paolo Fulgi, Istalian Ambassador to the World Congress:

How to show the annihilation of the free will of a person, among other things for trivial religious reasons, as a good deed.
I'm sure that even get rich on the backs of very low cost labor and exchange persons as if they were beasts is a "good deed", isn't it?
I ask this Assembly to silence immediately similar shameful statements, which not only shames and throw mud against this August Institution but especially they contribute to vilify the dignity of human life.
The delegate of Saridan himself demeans his own dignity as a human being by passing similar crimes as "charity" and "philanthropy" activies.
He lies to everybody to hide the crimes that take place in his country behind the excuse of faith and "divine word", but probably it's the same excuse that he uses to lie to himself to be able to sleep the night while out the window of his room people are treated as property objects like mules, dogs or agricultural tools.

We are in front of the proof of why the faith and the religions no have place on the public arena, of why they can only remain private matter of the individuals, to avoit to poison the civilized society with similar statements, real blasphemies against the humanity

Ameliorate Historical Union floor leader Rev. Geert Verdonk addresses the General Assembly.

The Istalian Ambassador seems intent to only trade insults and I will not lower myself to his level. His hatred for religion, the Saridanese culture and myself is very clear for all to see. As a true arrogant, leftist internationalist, he cannot fathom the possibility of views other than his own liberal, anti-theist ones. Our argument in favour of slavery remains the same - it is a moral system of social security for undeveloped and criminally inclined peoples where they learn skills and well taken care of. Society is also protected from their likely crimes which certain uncivilised peoples are known to be very disposed to carry out. God created every race of man with its own capabilities and capacity for learning, beauty and physical labour - who are we to try and artificially subvert this divine order just so some Istalian liberals (among others) can be pleased? As a God fearing nation, the Ameliorate Republic of Saridan will never presume tk know better than what it is laid down in holy writ.

Baron Igor Sokolovskiy, the Trigunian Ambassador to the World Congress adresses the General Assembly, regarding His Holiness, Rev. Geert Verdonk's statement:
As a faithful Terran Patriarchal Hosian, I entirely disgaree with the pactice of slavery in your "Hosian" nation. If you are a supporter of slavery, how did any church allow you to become a preacher, I do not understand, because slavery is perhaps the most unholy practice of all. Have you bothered to read any of the Katub or the Annunciation, where both God and Illiya (Eliyahu) said that all men are born equal? That is an explicit anti-slavery statement, and your argument regarding the fact that you save the homeless by feeding them is invalid as soon as you realise that Trigunia has extensive welfare programs. You are not a Hosian, Your Holiness, you are simply not.

Ameliorate Historical Union floor leader Rev. Geert Verdonk addresses the General Assembly in response to Baron Sokolovsky's statements.

The Annunciation repeatedly endorses slavery as a just and acceptable economic and social system. I earlier gave the example of St. Thomas, Eliyahu Hosios' most cherished disciple. He sternly demanded that slaves obey their masters as it is righteous. Eliyahu himself never spoke against the institution and instead called on his people to pay taxes to a foreign occupier which when you think about it is not different from slavery. There's no a single verse in the book where it states all men are created equal, to my knowledge. Perhaps in the false Annunication written by your lying Papezes and Arch-Patriarchs...

However why should I waste time educating a Patriarchal Hosian about the provisions of the true Annunciation? I would likely have greater success fitting a whale through the eye of a needle. Patriarchals are little more than pagans and worship their Arch-Patriarchs and Papezes rather than following holy writ. We Reformed Ameliorates follow a different and correct approach where holy writ is supreme to what personal views one might harbour. As for Trigunia's extensive welfare state, congratulations for nannying your people, making them lazy and dependent. We in Saridan believe in hard work, self-reliance and limited government and would never turn our people into wards of the Trigunian State.

Giovanni Paolo Fulgi, Ambassador of the Istalian Republic to the World Congress:

we cannot fail to notice that the Saridanese colleague in addition to bask in the suffering of thousands if not millions of people, is also an expert of hypocrisy and incoherence: first invited me and my Government to make into account the existence of "views other than his own", then he declares to a member of a different religious current that only his vision is the right and true interpretation of the holy scripture?
And, just a clarification, me or my Country are not an "Anti-theist" Nation, we have absolutely nothing against faiths and religions, indeed, we have the utmost respect for the faith of anyone, because we firmly believe in the principle of freedom of worship and expression, at least as long as the "freedom of worship" does not become a means of oppression to limit the neighbor whether to impose him their own faith or totally deny his freedom.

Here we are not talking about faith and religion, and I think that the World Congress is not the appropriate place to host the quarrel caused by internal feuds of this or that religion, for that I think it would be more appropriate a Council or something like that, we leave to you decide.
Instead we are talking about a terrible crime, we are talking about the condition of thousands and thousands of people who are treated day after day as objects!
Can I ask to the Rev. Geert Verdonk how many slaves do you own? How many people are enslaved for the glory and the respect of you "Right Vision of the Annunciation"? How many faithful devotees can claim the title, I guess high-sounding and prestigious title in your Country, of "slavers"?

Me or my nation are not used to pay homage and to present reverence to hardened and recidivist perpetrators of crimes against humanity. Rather in my country, as I imagine in any civilized country, if someone dared to commit such atrocities, he would have in front of him only the prospect of imprisonment for life (or worse in other countries).

It's for this reason that as member of the Security Council I have devoted myself to pass the resolution which firmly condemning your nation like any other where it dare still practice the slavery.

Baron Igor Sokolovskiy, the Trigunian Ambassador to the World Congress adresses the General Assembly:
I refuse to listen to the lies you have so blatantly spoke in front of me. Either you are illiterate, or the Ameliorate Church's version of the bible was poorly translated, but Saint Thomas never said anything of the kind. And the most cherished Apostle of Illiya (Eliyahu) was in fact Saint Michael, not Saint Thomas. And we, Terran Patriarchals do not worship the Papez, but we worship God and Illiya. And, I agree with Mr Fulgi, we should stop discussing religion, and talk about the non-religious ethics behind such an evil practice as slavery. My statements regarding my views on Hosianism were said just to challenge your "religious" argument, but since you cannot see reason behind the real Hosian truth, we will need to destroy your argument by using everything but religion, and as far as I see it, you have no claims in favour of slavery which are not based on the Satanic "bible" of the Ameliorate Church, therefore meaning your argument will crumble at the mention of the truth about slavery. And one last thing, if the fact that the Trigunian workers were lazy and the Saridanese, hard-working was true, then Saridan should be very developed and Trigunian not so. But wait a moment, Trigunia is ahead of Saridan and is a highly developed country. And we have extensive welfare programs. You see? Welfare makes life easier for the genuinely disadvantaged, so when they are in a favourable position, they stop receiving benefits, and start living a normal life. Thank you.

Ameliorate Historical Union floor leader Rev. Geert Verdonk addresses the General Assembly in response to Ambassadors Fulgi and Baron Sokolovsky's statements.

The Trigunian Ambassador predictably misses the point. The point is not whether St. Thomas was the most beloved disciple or not. That part, I admit, I might have misquoted. The point is that the Annunciation clearly endorses the practice of slavery both in its older and newer books. Does the Baron deny this or do I have to read out the particular verses here in front of the General Assembly? Ours is a government and State that follows the Annunciation's provision as far as possible in the 42nd century. Saridan at least cannot stop discussing religion since it is part of our Constitution and it is our Constitution being attacked by left-liberal globalists and such other disgusting creatures who reject the Annunciation and hate religious faith. Faith in the state however is just fine for left cultists with their welfare and nanny states.

As for the Istalian Ambassador, I say to you. Yes, my family does own slaves but I do not feel obliged to delve into the state of my personal assets and belongings here or anywhere else. I disagree that slavery, in Saridan at least, is a crime against humanity. Our laws strictly regulate the work and standard of care that slaves among other workers have to receive. Slaves are treated as members of the family and are very happy and satisfied with their lot. As for my hypocrisy, how? The Ameliorate rite is the only true Hosian rite, to say otherwise would be lies and apostasy. I have never questioned anyone's right to believe otherwise - we simply believe that. If our pagan Patriarchal Trigunian friend views the Dolinka rite as the correct one, that's his prerogative. A darkie in Hawu Memnhes can worship ancestral spirits and views that as the true religion. As for condemning us, the Security Council can condemn the sun, moon and stars for all we care. It is a tool of Satanail and we are not interested in the views of Satanail.
