Opposition party leader Bai Ru decries "evils" of newfound prosperity, draws small crowdBai Ru, leader of the small opposition Worker's Party of Dalibor, led a rally near Gangzhou where he proclaimed the government's recent deal with the international Hyperion Corporation an "evil whose cost shall be borne by all Daliborians." The gathering of roughly three hundred Worker's Party supporters was carefully observed by Daliborian and Hyperion security forces. A spokesman for the government stated that the rally was properly authorized and vital to the functioning of a free state.
Bai, who's party is strongly opposed to the hyper-laissez faire conditions of the Hyperion contract, noted that the stipulations of that agreement had already meant that Hyperion wrought deep profits from the natural resources of the island, and might further mean the bankruptcy of the nation entirely, should the steep payments required prove too costly. in this publication and others which praised the benefits of the Hyperion contract and approvingly noted strong favorability polling for the Prime Minister and the government were "dangerous, misleading, and short sighted" according to Bai. Though unemployment has dropped, he stated, a month was not long enough to highlight a trend, and the price of goods and the average wage had remained steady in the same time.
When the rally ended, Bai and his followers marched from the capitol past the Finance Ministry and the nearby local Hyperion Corporation headquarters, but did not cause damage. The government praised the police and Hyperion forces for ensuring orderly protest was encouraged.
Just a bunch of shit.
