President Timothy Drumf in Acton during the Campaign
Royalist President Timothy Drumf will be returning to 24 Orange Avenue as he was re-elected to the Presidency taking over 67% of the vote and 40 million votes in the first round, defeating Ataraxian Confederation challenger Vinal Parish. At his victory party at Apollo Tower in Bekenial, Drumf gave a speech to hundreds of his supporters.
The people of Hutori have spoken and they have spoken overwhelmingly in favor of the Royalist cause. Two out of every three Hutorians who voted decided that the direction the monarchist coalition has taken Hutori is the proper one and we will continue on that path. In four years we put Hutori back on the map, we are rebuilding our great and marvelous military, we have reconnected with our allies and our economy will be once again the envy of not just the north but of all Terra. The work isn't done yet friends but we are half of one hell of a good start.
Drumf was extremely upbeat, despite his own Party losing 32 Seats in the National Senate as his two coalition partners gained a combined 100 seats. Combined the three centre-right parties control 395 seats in the Senate, 8 seats short of being able to push through a Constitutional Amendment. Despite hopes by the Royalists, and Drumf himself, that they would be able to achieve the long held Royalist goal of restoring the Hutorian Monarchy, it looks like it will be held up for at least four more years.
Drumf took time to thank retiring Prime Minister Isabel Owen, who stated she would be stepping down as Leader of the Royalist Party as soon as a new Cabinet was put in place. Royalist Senate Leader Henry Torrance has already been stated to be tapped as Interim Leader until a new Leader has been selected.

Changing of the Guard
At the Ministry of Defence in Bekenial General Bailey "Huntress" Donovan, the Chief of the Defence Staff for the past 12 years, has announced she will be finally retiring from her position having "accomplished everything she set out to do." General Donovan was the fourth woman to hold the highest post within the Hutorian Armed Forces and upon appointment has in fact purged most of the Armed Forces High Command bringing in fresh blood and faces in an effort to shake up the highest echelons of power within the Armed Forces. Minister of Defence Patrick Woodbury was on hand to announce that Donovan's successor would be former Joint Operations Command Commander and current Chief of Operations for the Air Force, General Adrian Grey.
Newly Appointed Chief of the Defence Staff, General Adrian Gray
General Gray began his career as an HF-19 ECR Pilot before flying HF-35s and eventually becoming commander of the 5th Fighter Wing out of General Samantha Carter Air Force Base, considered the premiere command for the Air Force. General Gray has stated that his focus will be on training and renewing the effort of the Hutorian Armed Forces to be the most professional and well equipped military force in the northern hemisphere. He has also stated that the Hutorian 2nd Fleet out of Port Prosperity will be doing a massive naval exercise in the Green Sea in July of that year. This is seen as a direct shot back at KEDA who have announced a massive pan Alliance naval exercise in the Sea that seperates Hutori and Trigunia. Defence analysts have stated this is likely to both observe KEDA, allow them to understand who they are training next to, and reinforce Hutori's control of the northern seas. Hutorian northern naval supremacy was established after the Great Terran War at the beginning of the 41st century after the Trigunian Navy went through decades of atrophy and has subsequently not challenged in almost three centuries, a legacy General Gray and other members of the Hutorian Defence community likely want to maintain.
