Honorable Salvatore Puddu,
What have I said to insult you? What does my company do wrong? I do not wish to start a debate on the way healthcare should be organised. But Cancon operates in nations with private healthcare or mixed healthcare. That is what the company is build upon and how the company stays alive.
Please, say to me: if for example we will refuse and will decide, for the good of the ENTIRE HUMANITY, to seize all the research of Cancon, you will oppose leaving the world die under the infection?
If Cancon's research is seized or when Cancon is simply ignored by the organisation we won't make any money. Cancon has invested a lot of money into this research and when we can't get payed, that would be the end of Cancon. In such a case, yes, we would 'donate' all the research done already because there is no point in keeping all our research results secret when there is no Cancon left. Although the research isn't actually secret, Malivia has all our results and they probably shared it with Hutori.
Or maybe you will provide the vaccine only to the ones with the means to pay? Do you know the concempt that the human beings are entitled of Rights, like the Rights to Health, which shall not discriminate on the basis of the sex, sexual orientation, ethnicity, language, religion, political opinion, PERSONAL and SOCIAL Status? So, the one who cannot affords the price are not worthy to receive cure and assistance? They shall die because Cancon has to have its piece of the cake?
Please bear in mind that we are not exploiting the infected. We could do that, we could say that we want to be payed 200%, but we didn't. We asked a reasonable price, thinking about the riscs and costs. Cancon has never, never exploited patients with unreasonable prices. That would ruin our reputation and give the competition a great leap. Those wo can not affort the price can be subsidised by the government. It is not the responsibility of private companies to help the poor of terra. If it was our responsibility there would never be a Cancon or any other private healthcare provider. However, it is Cancon's responsibility to ask a reasonable price, which we do.
And now, not as Ambassador of Istalia, but as human beings, let me say to your company simply disgust me. You are lucky that Malivia opened to your demands about a "price". Because.... you know... you can also refuse to cooperate, ok... but let wait until the world will be on the edge of the extinction! And given the mortality and infection rate of the Bacteria I don't think this is a too far or unrealistic scenarios! Well, first of all I would really wonder with who Concon will continue to make affairs when the human civilizations will deseappear, and two: if such a situation would come, do you really believe that your company will be preserved by the wrath and the will of Governments all over the world which want persue the well being of their citizens? I don't think so!
We don't refuse to cooperate, that is exactely why we started cooperating with the honorable Malivia. Cancon and Malivia are on completely different spectres of politics, Malivia has public healthcare, while Cancon is a private healthcare company. Still, we are able to cooperate, and we thank the Malivians for that.
Cancon was the first to research the disease, while the international community was silent. And now Cancon is disgusting? We have been insulted multiple times by the Istalian representative. According to him Cancon is "immoral, disgusting, leeches and as bad as Hulstria." To put it mildly, that is not very nice. We have done nothing wrong, negotiated with nations, worked and invested to save peoples lives, but still you find a reason to insult this company over and over again. And this because a private company strives to make a profit. What did you expect? That a private company strives to make a loss? I don't think that is true.
To show the willingness of our company, and because of the hit the Istalian representative braught to our reputation, we propose the following. Instead of the 20% profit we now ask a small 15% profit. I will stress again that Cancon is still willing to cooperate and strives for this organisation to suceed.
