Named after the explorer responsible for its creation, Sigmund Henningsen, The Henningsen Merit is awarded to individuals who have championed the causes of international peace and development in their respective fields. Recipients of the merit are chosen by the Henningsen Foundation, a ten member committee appointed by the monarch of the Kingdom of Kazulia.
All instances of misjudgement by the Foundation are subject to review of the Henningsen Foundation Ethics Committee. Upon being satisfied that an individual recipient has abandoned the principles of peace and international development, the Ethics Committee reserves the right to declare said recipient's merit void.
