Hutorian Troops cross the Ostland Border, Probe the Hulstrian BorderHutorian Leopard 2H6E of the 2nd Armoured Regiment advancing into OstlandWith the withdrawl of Hulstrian troops from their entrenched border positions, General Paul Driscol, commander in chief of Hutorian Expeditionary Force Dovani, has confirmed that I Corps, under the command of Lieutenant General Ryan McMannis, has crossed the border into Ostland, bypassing what would have been otherwise difficult strongpoints.
General Paul Driscol wrote:The withdraw of Hulstrian troops from the border has actually given us an immense opportunity to advance and take back long held territory. That they were intimidated by the sheer weight of force arrayed against them tells us everything of their disposition and willingness to fight us. We have no yet given them true battle and they already flee before us. We do not expect the campaign in Ostland to last long.
The 1st Armoured Division and 14th Infantry Division have made slow but steady progress, facing minimal resistance by rear guard action by Ostlander troops, ill equipped to face off against the advanced Hutorian combat formations.
In the air, retreating Hulstrian and Ostlander forces have been harassed by marauding HF-35A Blizzard Fighter Bombers that have strafed supply lines and rear echelon troops, slowing their retreat and withdrawal to better positions in the south.
In order to keep Hulstrian troops facing them, Hutorian forces have begun shelling border positions held along the Handenberg and Bodenvaria borders, preparing for their own advance with the Kazullians and expected reinforcements by the Dorvische and Baltusians militaries. Long range missile strikes by HB-22 Bombers, hundreds of miles behind the lines launch long range cruise missiles have began targeting strongpoints and air defence installations, and command and control centres, preparing for the main coalition strike, expected in the coming weeks.
When questioned about the execution of hostages by the Nimitz regime and the appearance of human shield hostages with primary Hulstrian military units General Driscol responded bluntly.
General Paul Driscol wrote:The Hutorian Armed Forces will do what is necessary to ensure victory and the quick removal of the Nimitz regime from power.
A spokesperson for Minister of Defence Aaron Graham has further confirmed that additional Hutorian Divisions are ready for transit to Kazullia for use against Hulstria should any coalition members not be able to rally troops for use, reinforcing that the Kingdom of Hutori plans on moving forward with their plan as quickly as can be done. The units being activated include the 2nd Armoured Division, 5th Infantry Division, and 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force
