June 4319Ban the Anti-Communist League, Ban the Iron LegionCLT posterThe Communist League of Terra has issued a world-wide call for citizens to pressure their governments to ban the
Anti-Communist League and the
Iron Legion, describing them as "fascist and violent organisations dedicated towards the persecution of communists". The Communist Party in Dorvik has already
tabled a motion which would ban the two organisations, and any other groups affiliated to them.
CLT General Secretary Gisela Guttmacher reserved special condemnation for Pápež Ľudovít of the Terran Patriarchical Church, who declared a religious "Crusade Against Communism", and Tsar Norbert von Thaller of Deltaria, who,
like the Papez,
publicly endorsed the ACL and its ambitions. "These are amongst Terra's most powerful men, and they are trying to stifle the political voice of the proletariat," she said. "The workers of the world can - and will - stand up to them".
Eliyahu was the first communist, claims CLT Religious Affairs AdviserRudi Hutmacher, the CLT's Religious Affairs Adviser, has thanked Archpatriarch Quirinus XIII of the Aurorian Patriarchal Church for his
intervention condemning the recent anti-communism violence, saying he "fully agrees that totalitarian systems, like fascism, are incompatible with Hosianism" and also agreeing that "communism, too, when implemented in its more violent and inhumane form, turns into something that is incompatible with Hosianism - and actually incompatible with communism in any real sense as well". More controversially, he claimed "Eliyahu was the first communist - a Metzist before Metz was even born - and you can see that in everything he said and did in his life - it's fundamental to his mission, in my view, and that is why I am a communist Hosian".
The International Communist Hosian Society (ICHS), which is affiliated to the CLT and which Hutmacher chairs, has released a number of campaign leaflets and posters (see below) to combat the negative image of communist presented by many Hosian leaders.
Rudi Hutmacher is a former priest in the Independent Confessional Church of Dorvik, who used to attract widespread publicity for delivering sermons denouncing his church for being "greedy" and "hoarding all of its money". Even greater publicity was generated when he was defrocked as a priest, after it emerged he had been stealing from the Sunday collection plate and embezzling church money, in order to fund his use of prostitutes and cocaine. However, after spending a month in prison and undergoing an extensive rehabilitation course, Hutmacher re-emerged as a religious celebrity, tearfully repenting of his sins, and giving lectures all around the country about his life story. The Hosian community took him to their heart, and 3 of his books have become top-sellers with the Hosian Book Club. He has since become a well-known Communist politician and former Cabinet Minister, and currently serves as an adviser on religious affairs to both the Dorvish Communist Party and the Communist League of Terra.
