Welcome to the Coburan campaign thread for the next Security Council Elections!
For many decades, the Security Council has seen the same faces coming, leaving and staying. We believe it is time for fresh ideas and new leadership in the Security Council, instead of the same composition over and over again. The WC was created with the idea of ''Unity in diversity''. Then why not show the same diversity in the Security Council? A vote for Cobura will mean a vote for YOUR nation, because every nation that votes for Cobura will feel the benefits of it. Join the race for diversity in the Security Council and help us make history!

What we stand for:

+ Protection of the core human rights;
+ Less interventionist policies in the SC, unless there is clear evidence human rights are at stake;
+ More influence for the General Assembly, an organ that is not being given the power it deserves;
+ Every nation that helps voting Cobura in the SC, will be more than welcome to advise the Coburan delegation on SC matters. Their advice will be heard eagerly and seriously taken into consideration. See, Seat B will not only be Cobura's, but also influenced by the effective coalition of Cobura-supporting nations who seek influence in the WC;
+ A more liberal voice in the SC. There is no need for the SC to tell other nations what to do. Tolerance and understanding are the key for proper diplomacy and we believe giving more breathing space to WC nations will help constructing a constructive dialogue in conflict situations.

Join the race and help diversity in the Security Council, not just because of the idea, but also because the Security Council is not just five nations dictating others what to do, but a coalition of WC nations who pleadge to protect peace and prosperity all over Terra!

Feel free to promote us, pledge support or ask questions in this thread!

Hawu Mumenhes Endorses Cobura for Security Council

A long-time ally and partner to the Majatran nation, the recently appointed Hawu Minister of Foreign Affairs Sigidi Rere announced that the nation of Hawu Mumenhes endorses Cobura for Seat B of the Security Council. "Not only will they help the Hawu people, but will help many other people groups that have suffered under tyrannical governments" he adds. "We are hopeful that more similarly-minded nations will follow the same path."

Announcment by Hervé Lemaitre, Royaume de Kanjor Minister of Foreign Affairs

I am delighted to announce that after much deliberation His Royal Highness, Roi de Kanjor Abélard Lévêque de Belfort, has determined we provide full support to Cobura's bid for Security Council Seat B. Their campaign displays the purpose, leadership and policy objectives the Security Council greatly needs and it is with great pleasure that we have proposed legislation to change Kanjor's vote.
