BREAKING: Milo Minosasa to step down as Leader of Reform Party
- Minosasa will not continue as party leader following end of final term
- Role of Party Leader to be redefined within the Reform Party - Leader to head up the parliamentary party
- Kapllani set to have to fight for her place with several challengers emerging

Milo Minosasa, the leader of the Reform Party for over a decade, has announced his intention to step down, in order to choose a leader that would be part of the parliamentary party following the landmark Ceremonial President Act. Citing that the position of Prime Minister was now a more important role, he argued that a leader of the Reform Party would be better placed fighting for the Prime Ministership rather than the Presidency. Consequently, several challengers have rushed to claim the top job, which would make them defacto Prime Minister with the current Reform Party majority.

In the same vine as his predecessor President Berisha, Minosasa took the opportunity in his last term as President to scale back the power of the President of Kalopia. However, with the support of the Ultranationalists, and the now-defunct Vatan Partisi, Minosasa was effectively able to shift executive power to the Head of Government, and remove all but emergency powers away from what is now to become a vastly ceremonial role.

"This huge change leaves the Prime Ministership as the most important position of power in the country, and therefore it would make sense for the Prime Minister to be a leader of a party," said the President at a press conference where he announced he was stepping down as Party Leader. "I will have had a prosperous eleven years by the time that the leadership is exchanged, but it just is right to pass the leadership down to where it will be best used - our parliamentary leader." Asked if he had any favoured candidates, he said that he wouldn't endorse anyone directly, although he thought that retaining Kapllani would be a guarantee of stability for the party.

This move has, of course, left the Prime Minister, Kolenta Kapllani fighting for her job. Whilst most pundits would agree that she should bring home the support needed from the party, there are several ambitious names who are throwing their names into the hat in order to attempt to overthrow her. One is the Foreign Minister and protege of the Reform Party, Cirket Korkizoglou - the 31-year-old who has already made a name for himself as a foreign affairs expert. Radical pro free trader, it is expected that he would look to mend relations with Jakania, Solentia, and Deltaria, in the hope of boosting the economy. He is opposed by another Reform Party prospect, 28-year-old Siphinan, former economist, Hyske Hoti, who believes that tariffs and protectionism is needed to destroy the economies of their enemies.

Other names include Azmi el-Wahab, and Thanasis Kosta and Acacia Savas, who are running on a joint ticket aimed to reinstate the direction in which Kusturica was taking Kalopia before he was forced to resign in disgrace. Calling themselves Kusturicanists, Kosta and Savas argue that "whilst some mistakes were made," Kusturica was taking Kalopia on the right path before his fall from the top. However, most Reform Party members would be a little apprehensive in voting in Savas who was accused of assassinating the Deltarian Czar - even though she was found not guilty.

BREAKING: Kapllani Calls for End to Conflict in Majatra
- Calls for Kazulia to back down against Jakania following the freezing of deployment from neighbours
- Kapllani "very optimistic" over Istalia backed talks with Solentia
- Leadership candidate, Cirket Korkizoglou calls for greater Kalopian economic influence in Majatra

The Prime Minister has responded to Istalia's request for deescalation in Majatra, saying that Eleopolis fulling backs the end of all conflict in the south of the continent. Announcing her support for talks with Solentia, Kapllani also told Kazulia that it was time to look for diplomatic ways of seeking peace.

Kolenta Kapllani was loudly applauded following her announcement that she intended to seek dialogue with Solentia and Jakania. Arguing that the continent had found itself stuck in a constant state of phony war, the Prime Minister said that it was time to put the economy, and the welfare of the people over the fight against imperialism, and support the creation of closer ties with Kalopia's neighbours. This move has seen the Kalopian Stock Market take a healthy rise, as investors see this as the first genuine attempt for peace from Kalopia since Jakania pulled out of the Sharba Conference.

Istalia was highly praised during the PM's speech, with Kapllani saying that their drive for stability was "the true sign of a global superpower". However, she also discussed Kalopia's relationship with Kazulia. Citing the two nation's agreement as critical for Kalopia, the Prime Minister said that whilst Kalopia would support the gradual decrease and removal of Kazulian soldiers, it would not agree to any deal which Skalm was not happy with. "It is important we find the right balance between Skalm and Romula. Kalopia supports the gradual phasing out of Kazulian troops, with these to be replaced by a peacekeeping Istalian force. However, this agreement should be subject to Kazulia's perspective as well, as they too have had a role to play in these tensions."

Assembly member, and Reform Party Leadership Candidate, Cirket Korkizoglou, took the opportunity to call for Kalopia to expand its economic influence into Majatra. Pointing at Solentia's infrastructural nightmare, he said that Kalopia should take the opportunity to help build up Solentia's infrastructure as well as its own. "In order to prosper," Hoti said, "We need bilateral strength rather than have a hierarchical system where one nation's economy is stronger than the other. For that reason, it is imperative for Kalopian participation in the strengthening of its neighbours. If Kalopia helps to build Solentian infrastructure, then perhaps we in turn will get economic opportunities."

BREAKING: Kalopians Flee East Following Dorbargrad Captured; Troops Mobilised
- President declares war on Deltaria as he is granted Emergency Powers from the Cabinet
- Condemns the acts against humanity committed by the "monstrous" Deltarian soldiers
- Calls for Istalian and Kazulian support in forcing Deltaria back "into their hole"

Kalopian troops making their way up to the blockade from the Kalopian fortifications following a small push back towards Dorbargrad.

Kalopians living in Siphina or Minosasa have fled east following the aggressive and illegal Deltarian offensive, which saw the city of Dorbargrad captured. Tonight millions of houses will be empty in Eastern Kalopia as Kalopians fled the region, moving into quickly put up camps across Seshold and eastern Minosasa. The new President, Musa Kongoli immediately went before the Grand National Assembly, declaring war against Deltaria, saying that they would pay for the damage they have caused innocent civilians in Dorbargrad.

Praising the bravery of the soldiers who lost their lives at Dorbargrad, Kongoli, who has accepted the emergency powers bestowed to the President following the unanimous agreement of the Cabinet, in line with the Ceremonial President Act, told Deltaria that they had made a martyr of all the innocent lives they killed, and that they would pay if "fire and blood" for what they had done.

Kalopian troops have made a couple miles of gains, capitalising on Deltarian troops halting their attack, who were tired from fighting in Dorbargrad, leaving a Kalopian presence five miles out from the wrecked city. Already, a blockade is being established, albeit slowly and under gunfire, in the attempt to prevent Deltarian troops from making it out of Eastern Minosasa.

Istochniaks declare independence from Kalopia

This morning marks the end of Kalopian authority over the liberty loving people of Istochnia who have for too long had their hopes and dreams treaded upon by the current Socialist regime. We have tried to find a peaceful way in which to go our own way and now we shall do exactly that. Kalopian flags all over the new nation have been ridded of and replaced by a banner of green bearing a golden cresent moon and star. Istochniak military personal have been advised to take their arms with them and join the Istochniak Defence Forces.

NATIONALIST PARTY FOUNDED
National Democratic Party Founded, Seeks New Era For Kalopia

National Democratic Party Founder, Xenos Rigas, In Conversation With THE NATION
There has been growing public interest among the Kalopian population recently concerning the establishment of a Kalopian Nationalist and Populist political party, the National Democratic Party. There has been talk of a new kind of politics, of calls from supporters for changes to the Constitution, as well as increased economic and political internationalism. This has led to an increase in popular support across the country, and over the course of a relatively short space of time the EΔK has grown in strength and size, with an estimated 10,000 members as of April 4373. THE NATION decided to interview their leader, Xeno Rigas, to find out more about his party's platform, and why Kalopia's electorate are finding it so enticing;
THE NATION: Hello Mr. Regas, welcome to the studio.
REGAS: Thank you, it is a pleasure to be here.
THE NATION: You will find that the pleasure is all ours. We have heard great things about you, Mr. Regas. Your party is gaining support in the polls, and your membership seems to grow exponentially every day. So what is so special about your party's policies which has led to such growth over such a small period.
REGAS: Why thank you, me and the rest of the Party are simply overwhelmed by the support that we have received over such a small space of time, and we thank all our new supporters and members for backing our collective struggle.
Getting back to your question, I believe that the main reason for our growth in support is due to our Party's platform, that being one of political, social and economic populism. Simply put, we seek to bring to the National Assembly the policies which the people seek and desire.
One such policy is concerning National citizenship. For far too long, Kalopian nationals have been barred from citizenship due to the idiocy of the Citizenship examination system, leading to Kalopian nationals in many cases, struggling to find employment or healthcare. No Kalopian who was born in Kalopia should be barred from Citizenship.
Another position is one of increased economic openness, the establishment of trade relations with other nations, a freeing of the State's grasp on the economy. Such policies are highly popular with the working and business classes of the nation.
And finally, support for democratic institutions. Kalopia, the birthplace of civilisation, has been plagued by dictators and conflicts since its establishment. The Kalopian people deserve the free and transparent democratic processes other prosperous nations in Majatra enjoy, Istalia being the prime example. This the National Democratic Party will strive for, with public support of course.
THE NATION: Certainly, the democratic question is one of great public concern within Majatra. Building off of what you just said, what do you think of another party experiencing increased public support, the neo-Victorieuxist Autocratic Party?
REGAS: Quite frankly, I find their policies uncivilised and poisonous. Kalopians have fought for generations to secure the democratic rights which we have at present, corrupt and ineffective as they are. Any party which seeks to establish a dictatorship in Kalopia seeks to defile the graves of millions of our nation's bravest patriots. This they cannot and will not be allowed to do.
THE NATION: Thank you Mr. Regas, that's all we have time for.
REGAS:It has been my pleasure.

The new Kalopian anarchist party prepares an anarchist movement and meeting at Wantuni
October 4377

The arrival of a new party to Kalopia, the so-called "Anarchy For Everyone" (Αναρχία για Όλους), created by a group of anarchists, is going to make history in Kalopia. They're going to prepare a meeting at Wantuni in February 4378 and present a new movement, which will be part of this party.

According to the party representant, Vasso Edvokia, they're not going to rest until they make a space up for Kalopian anarchism in the 44th and 45th century.

Successful anarchist meeting at Wantuni, supported by the AFE party
February 4378

Image

The first anarchist meeting, organised by the IAAN (International Anarchist Action Network) and supported by the AFE party (Anarchy For Everyone) in Wantuni the past month, was a successful meeting. A 9% of the population (8,975,785) came to this meeting and decided to protest against the Kalopian cops and Government, supporting LGBT rights, freedom, equality and tolerance. Many socialists also came to this meeting to help their comrades and spread their ideas alongside anarchists.

The meeting had prepared a speech and immediately ran to the streets with signs and red and black flags. They arrived to a local building where they danced and singed Punk Rock all the night.

We have interviewed a few people that assisted the meeting, asking them if they would show support and asking for their opinions on this meeting. The results were the following:
Most of the people said that they enjoyed the meeting and they could spread their ideas perfectly. Some of them said that for being the first meeting, many people came and it was really good, but only 4 people out of 15 said that they would vote and support this party. Many of the ones who said no, explained their reason why:
"I think that it'll be nice to get into an anarchy through what anarchism was designed to: revolution. I can't trust no party, where have you seen a successful anarchist party? Only one time, in Telamon. The rest of the parties were alone in the Parliament so they had it easy".
Immediately another guy joined the conversation and said, "It's true that maybe it's hard to reach an anarchy through the Parliament, but this party could help us more than you think. Imagine he gets a lot of power in the Parliament, enough to keep power away from evil hands. They could skip other parties' proposals while we organise our own revolution. Isn't that a good idea?".

We will see if this meeting was successful for the party or not in the next election, but it's sure that this meetings are helpful for anarchists and socialists, and everyone is hoping to assist more times to meetings of this kind.
