Dorvish Armed Forces mobilize in face of growing regional conflict
Late April, 4337

Haldor, Kordusia - In the wake of growing regional conflict in Southern Artania, the Dorvish Armed Forces have issued a general mobilization order signed by the Inspector-General of the Armed Forces of Dorvik, Generaloberst Reinhard Regismund von Rohr-Mauss. Rumors have been reported that the Dorvish Republic is going to enter on the side of traditional allies Darnussia and Narikaton. The mobilization is likely to take roughly one month before several divisions are combat ready, while this is going on the Inspector-General reported that the Dorvish Armed Forces have begin to operate out of a port on the island of Narikaton and have built a size-able, temporary airbase. It is likely that this airbase and naval base are to serve as the major point of operations for the Dorvish Armed Forces within Southern Artania. Dorvish forces were already seen delivering small arms, munitions and tracked and wheeled vehicles to the undermanned and seriously mis-managed Armed Forces of Darnussia and Narikaton.

It is widely believed that Dorvish State Chancellor Wilhelm Franz von Bahr will bring in allies from the growing Northern Council which will include Luthori after their ratification and agreement into the already powerful global alliance which includes perennial powerhouse Hutori, Kazulia and Dorvik. State Secretary of Foreign Affairs Karlheinz Hans von Färber who was also subsequently appointed to act as the Plenipotentiary-General to the Northern Council was seen on several different occasions meeting with ambassadors, military officials and Northern Council staff in order to facilitate what is considered to be the premier global alliance.

Narik Forces fortified Islands
Early May, 4337

After the Dorvische Landwehr arrived and reinforced the Narik Army the Officer-Corp of the Narikatonische Reichsarmee decided that they could now focus on transforming the islands into metaphorical floating fortresses. With the help of the coincidentally present Thaller Transport Infrastructure workers they were a lot faster than anticipated. Civilians have been escorted to War Centers in which they can stay as long as public areas are restricted.

Königsflotte mobilized

The narik navy has also been fully mobilized by now. Since there is no naval invasion imminent they are mostly used to prevent supply routes by enemy allies or patrols through the islands territory to further secure the important own supply lines.

Surprise spring offensive against Narikaton
March 4337

Malivian SPGs hammering the Narikaton stationary defense to soften them up.

Excerpt from news reel:

After the central committee for the defense of the nation (compromising the Head of State, Head of Government, Foreign Affairs Minister and Minister of Defense) had an extraordinary session they came to the conclusion that after recent Narikatonian statements and troop movements the best case scenario to prevent more casualties for both sides was to preempt an attack the Narik forces before they had any time to dig in or create battle plans to attack inside Malivia.

The fight started with the Malivian Airforce attempting take air space control after Narikaton was made an all flyer exclusion zone. Then the Field Artillery Corps hammered the Narik stationary defenses with over 80 shells fired per square Km into the border of Narikaton.

Then the main force went in compromising of the 31st Armoured Division, 32nd Armoured Division, 5th Infantry Division, 19th Infantry Division, 25th Infantry Division and the 26th Infantry Division a total of 120.000 Men and Women serving in the Malivian armed forces are participating in this attack.

Malivian offensive stalling.

Excerpt from news reel:

[quote]The Malivian campaign has stalled after repeated airial attacks from Luthori and Dorvik. The worst day was April 21 when a squadron of Malivian ships faced the concentrated Luthori fleet. While they were able to extradite themselves with zero ship loses all ships and especially the destroyer lead suffered massive damage.

Not all is lost yet though the Malivian front guard has managed to reach the outskirts of the Narik capital and several large portions of Narik forces are under siege in what the Thaller leadership have started calling "Fortress cities".

Their outlook is bleak seeing as the Malivian military is hammering every square meter in those cities with shell upon shell.

Mainland Force Fortress Cities fall, Islands stay strong

Many of the so-called "Fortress Cities" of the Narik Armed Forces have recently fallen to the Malivian Offensive and the few forces which managed to break throught he siege ring retreated to Dorvish Mainland camps or ports which could potentially transport back to the islands.

Island Defensive Rings hold strong against the tide of enemies through the heavily fortified beaches and assistance of the navy. Equipment on the Islands is still in the positive numbers and supply lines through allied forces secured on the islands but the mainland troops few of which remain are very badly supplied and will soon fall.

Late May, Early June

The presence of the Dorvish Armed Forces within the main centers of Ghacrow and Doressa prevent the absolute taking of the mainland, however the Dorvish Republic did not officially declare war on Malivia until June 10th, 4337. The Malivian forces pushed heavily into the Darnussia mainland while the Dorvish Armed Forces built up primarily around Doressa in late May, early June. In concordance with the Luthorian Armed Forces, a joint headquarters was established with Dorvish Inspector-General and Chief of Staff, now named Deputy Commander-in-Chief as the head of the joint headquarters, he was subsequently promoted to the rank of General Field Marshal (Dundorfian: Generalfeldmarschall) the highest officer rank within the Dorvish Armed Forces and traditionally reserved for wartime appointments only. State Chancellor Wilhelm Franz von Bahr personally worked with the Ministry of Defense and Supreme General Staff to see to it that the renown General was promoted. Now Generalfeldmarschall von Rohr-Mauss worked alongside Luthorian General Edgar Black who is serving as the Deputy Commander of the Joint Headquarters.

Order of Battle of the Dorvish and Luthorian Forces
Northern Front - Ghacrow (Headquarters)
1. Panzer-Division (General der Panzertruppe Valtin zu Völksau-Heusmann)
2. Panzer-Division (General der Panzertruppe Maximilian Orndorff)
12. Panzergrenadier-Division (General der Panzergrenadier Marko Kamphaus)
14. Panzergrenadier-Division (General der Panzergrenadier Jörn Kuchler)
11th Armored Brigade (Brigadier General Lewis Hudson)
2nd Armored Brigade (Brigadier General Cassius Summers)
17th Infantry Brigade (Brigadier General Raiden Chen)
20th Infantry Brigade (Brigadier General Erik Guzman)

Southern Front - Doressa (Headquarters)
23. Panzer-Division Regismund (General der Panzertruppe Volker Theodoric von Rohr-Mauss)
10. Panzergrenadier-Division "Heilige Dorvik" (General der Panzergrenadier Florian Karlheinz von Färber)
17. Panzergrenadier-Division (General der Panzergrenadier Maximilian Wilhelm von Bahr)
19. Panzergrenadier-Division (General der Panzergrenadier Henning Doebrich)
9th Armored Brigade (Brigadier General Adam Pearson)
20th Armored Brigade (Brigadier General Kian Sharp)
21st Infantry Brigade (Brigadier General Emmitt Vinson)
22nd Infantry Brigade (Brigadier General Jeremy Ratliff)

Reserve - Narikaton
500. Grenadier-Division (General der Grenadier Vitus Fleige)

Mid June, beginning of the Dorvish offensive

Ghacrow, Darnussia - The decision of the Joint HQ was to rapidly land a combined Dorvish-Luthorian force at Ghacrow, which was not originally the plan which lead to some confusion between Dorvish and Luthorian forces, which allowed Malivian forces to several small suburbs on the eastern portion of the city at the outbreak of the war. The resulting attack on the eastern portion of Ghacrow landed heavy losses on the Dorvish and Luthorian forces on the Northern Front however were ultimately repulsed and kept on the outskirts of the Ghacrow. Primarily the 14th Panzergrenadier Division and the Luthorian 11th Armored Brigade suffered losses and were withdrawn to be re-organized on the island of Narikaton. The Dorvish and Luthorian forces repulsed the attack primarily made by the Malivian forces and were able to mount a counter-attack which was the first action of the war by the Dorvish-Luthorian joint headquarters.

The joint Dorvish-Luthorian offensive wouldn't begin until shortly after the morning of 15th where a joint armored column consisting of the 10th Panzergrenadier Division "Sacred Dorvik" led by General of the Panzergrenadiers Florian Karlheinz von Färber and the 11th Armored Brigade led by Brigadier General Lewis Hudson directly, attacked Malivian positions on the early morning of the 15th and routed Malivian troops, consisting of mostly infantry and lightly motorized troops. Panzer Battalion 11 "Sacred Dorvik" conducted a flanking maneuver alongside the 1st Armored Battalion and broke Malivian troops who were ill-prepared for fighting armored vehicles. Dorvish and Luthorian forces conducted Northwestern flanking maneuver directed at taking back the Northern portion of Darnussia, mostly directed of taking smaller cities of the Darnussian mainland. Lead by the 2nd Armored Brigade and the 1st Panzer Division, the Luthorian and Dorvish forces faced little opposition. Intelligence reports and reconnissance flights primarily placed Malivian forces in the southern portion of Darnussia where the Southern Front, headquartered out of Doressa was.

Fierce fighting took places however in Scharna and the city of Brocindo where Malivian forces in the Northern Front had concentrated themselves. Strategic and tactical command was coming out of Kraw and the Dorvish and Luthorian forces were keen on capturing Kraw as it held the strategic importance of ending Malivian control of Darnussia. However Dorvish and Luthorian forces were successful in establishing a new defensive line (referenced in the map above).

Doressa, Darnussia - Dorvish and Luthorian forces in the southern portion of Darnussia faced a less harsher battle, the Dorvish had already begun staging at Doressa by the time of the Malivia advance and prior to the declaration of war the Malivian advanced stopped, they built up their forces primarily at Rumbrel which became their primary area of operations in southern Darnussia. Dorvish forces, spearheaded by General der Panzertruppe Volker Theodoric von Rohr-Mauss and the 23. Panzer-Division Regismund conducted operations with the Luthorian forces that focused on capturing Rumbrel, the Dorvish and Luthorian forces were successful and the Battle of Rumbrel was a victory for the Northern Council allies despite facing mounting losses due to the heavily fortified positions of the Malivian's in Rumbrel. It was at this point that the Northern Council made the decision to conduct bombing operations against the Malivian homeland, underneath the umbrella of the Northern Council, Hutorian and Kazulian forces, sent as a small expeditionary force underneath the Northern Council's Joint Headquarters, conducted an aerial campaign against Malivia, targeting strategic locations. Northern Council losses were light compared to the damaged impacted by the aerial campaign of the Northern Council Forces. Dorvish and Luthorian forces were assisted by operations of Hutorian and Kazulian forces, though limited in their scope, they were successful in assisting their Dorvish and Luthorian allies. The Dorvish conducted a breakthrough operation directed at capturing the large city of Hamden and were successful.

Dorvische Republik Täglich: BREAKING NEWS! Daring Malivian Raid on Genestadt

Image
Aerial footage of burning coastal refinery just east of Genestadt.

A daring commando raid has been carried out on refineries and port facilities outside Genestadt on the isle of Westmark. Early this morning several explosions rocked residence, shattering windows and reportedly being heard more than 20 kilometers away. Within minutes, the Neumann Refinery with nearly 500,000 barrels of crude oil had burst into flame. Firefighting crews were quickly on the scene but at this time appear unable to tame the blaze.

An hour later, a short gun battle erupted near the Port Authority headquarters between guards and what later turned out to be Malivian commandos. A series of small explosions soon followed that engulfed several merchant vessels on the city's nearby docks. Specially-trained police and military auxiliaries were called to the Port Authority building, reaching it around dawn.

However, the attacking commandos had left before after having run a twelve-foot Malivian flag up one of the port's gantry cranes as a makeshift. The flag was visible throughout the city before being taken down by authorities.

The source of the raid was confirmed when several videos were uploaded online and sent to the editors of the Daily as well as other major news agencies showing Malivian commandos attacking the refinery and port facilities. The videos are suspected of having been deliberately uploaded by the Malivian military.

Image
Stock footage of Malivian commandos.

When pressed for comment, Westmark's military commander, General Walter A. Voßkuhle had little to say but sources within the Defense Ministry stated the raiders came from a Malivian submarine.

Undoubtedly this dastardly attack was meant to dampen enthusiasm for the Dorvish war effort and spread our defense forces thin defending the long coastlines. Reportedly communities up and down the coasts are enacting contingency plans or calling for military protection.

Whether this desired effect will take shape remains to be seen but one thing is for certain, this raid will go down in history as one of the most daring.
