Late July, Early AugustDorvish Forces in the northern portion of mainland Darnussia pushed to take several smaller towns and villages, Malivian forces had begun a fighting withdraw to their fortress city of Kraw as Luthorian forces had poured in from the Northern border between Darnussia and Luthori. Spearheaded by elements of the 17th Infantry Brigade and the 20th Infantry brigade, the Luthorian forces were able to encircle and cut off Malivian troops around Kraw taking swathes of poorly trained and poorly supplied Malivian troops. The Dorvish were able to push back the Malivian forces until they formed a strong defensive line west of Walcor where the Dorvish stopped their advance, the Dorvish Navy which had left the primarily blockade of Malivia to the powerful Luthorian Navy, looked to support Dorvish troops on the ground with sea-to-land cruise missile launches, the South Ocean Fleet (Südseeflotte) underneath the command of Admiral Domenikus von Lÿndow-Sennhein was happy to provide the support.
Dorvish forces were once again spearheaded by two of the most prestigious divisions in the Dorvish Landwehr, the 23. Panzer-Division Regismund lead by
General der Panzertruppe Volker Theodoric von Rohr-Mauss and the 10. Panzergrenadier-Division "Heilige Dorvik" lead by
General der Panzergrenadier Florian Karlheinz von Färber. The two formed the primary spearhead against the Malivian forces on the Southern front where they were able to bog Malivian forces down enough to stabilize the lines, the Dorvish forces were assisted by the crack 9th Armored Brigade of the Luthorian Army and the 21st Infantry Brigade, the Dorvish forces settled and formed defensive lines prior to attempting another push to the east.
