22nd May, 4370

Earlier this morning, the amphibious corps launched an offensive in South-eastern Loren underneath the banner of Operation Peninsula Spear, thus opening another front for the Dankukin Armed Forces in-order to force the nation to split its armed forces' strength. With the initial phase of Operation Peninsula Spear (coined Operation Spjotskapt) currently underway, the launching of Operation Spjotsfalr is set to intensify the general offensive. The offensive had been launched by the 5 Brigades of the Amphibious Corps and the Joint Rapid Response Task Force (excluding elements from the Lourennais Armed Forces). Spearheading the initial assault is said to be the 5th Commando Battalion of 2. Amfibiskinfanteribrigade. Defence Command had not come clear on the general scope of numbers crossing currently in Loren, but estimated figures suggest 25,000+ infantry and associated armoured vehicles are said to be involved in the operation.

It had been reported by Dankukin citizens living in Loren that several Kazulian tanks had been spotted moving into the province the night before the amphibious assault had been launched, thus suggesting that the armoured corps had been positioning itself to support the amphibious assault in the event that it would be hindered by a Dankukin counter-attack. It has reported that a counter-attack from the Dankukin Armed Forces occurred on the beach-head as around 5,000 Dankukin troops rushed onto the beach-head. Initially confusion ensued as the Dankukins poured over the earthen ramparts and onto to the beach-head with their armoured vehicles as the amphibious assault was in its initial phases of securing the area of operation (AO). However, it was reported that these units were soon sent retreating after elements of the 2nd Armoured Battalion (the commanding brigade of the armoured corps in South-eastern Dankuk) rushes onto the beach in support of the amphibious infantry.

It is being reported that the amphibious assault is to be reinforced by additional mechanised support in the form of the 1st Mechanised Infantry Division, however their advance its somewhat hindered by the fact that mountainous ranges stand in their way. It has been proposed that the division be airlifted beyond the ranges and special mountainous units be sent into the ranges to "mop up" pockets of resistence. With the divisions of the west advancing deeper into the province of Eljang, the south-eastern front is expected to accelerate its drive towards meeting the divisions of the west at border between Eljang and Loren.

Dankukian Armed Forces Retreat from Soleunggo and Gongmangdo
Image
Earlier this week Kazulian forces pushed into the Elijang and fought for control of Soleunggo and Gongmangdo. Earlier today the Dankuk Military demanded a retreat from Soleunggo and Gongmangdo and commanded the troops to go on the defensive back into the countryside were they would be less likely to be attacked and surrounded.

12th July, 4370.

As the conflict rages on for the ground forces, during the initial phases of the famed Operation Peninsula Spear, the Naval Forces have seen little to no action, however, this was changed as the Kazulian Navy had been tasked with crippling Dankuk's maritime capabilities. Underneath the banner of Operation Silent Leviathan, submarines and surface vessels of the Kazulian Navy caught Dankuk's maritime force by complete surprise. Admiral Audun Prestegard, commander of the KNS-Queen Annette aircraft carrier, told a new conference that the Kazulian Navy had suffered the loss of three (3) ships at the hands of anti-ship missiles and torpedoes from Dankukin fast attack sea-crafts, but reassured the general public that the Dankukin navy had been crippled with around 75% of its naval capacity either burning on the surface or becoming accustom to their watery graves. According to Admiral Prestegard, the joint efforts of the Navy and the Air-Force had ensured complete victory in the Anantonese Sea.

Dankuk's ageing maritime forces stood no chance for the more modern and strategically capable Kazulian maritime forces. It had been said that Kazulian submarines created complete confusion for Dankuk's brown-water navy. Sinking the nation's hand full of frigates, it has been stated that the submarine fleet had been the driving force in Dankuk's navy's decimation. Admiral Prestegard stated that Z-35 strike fighters from the Queen Annette, through the use of anti-ship missiles caught several Dankukin gunboats and the nation's submarine fleet in port. In response to the presence of the Trigunian Navy in the Anantonese Sea, Naval Command ordered that KNS-Oliver Fiske signals intelligence vessel to be sent to gather significant signals intelligence on the Trigunian flotilla's movements and communication, with similar orders being placed on the KNS-Sophus Buch and the New Endralon's "spy ship" parked in the Anantonese Sea.

Much of the Dankukin Air-Force had been grounded due to the fact that night had come and the fatigued pilots demanding sleep, thus creating the impetus for the commencement of the air-forces' operations in the conflict under the banner of Operation Bird Strike. According to military officials around two hundred (200) combat aircraft launched a massive attack against the grounded Dankukin Air-Force. The Dankukin infrastructure was well protected as the government had invested much into civil defence infrastructure. Nevertheless, the air force did not launch the preemptive strike blindly. Aware of this factor, much of the involved multi-role fighters were equipped both bunker busting bombs and anti-runway busting bombs. Signals Intelligence reports stated that Dankukin radar stations intercepted some fighters but were unable to send a warning to the other branches as a series of electronic warfare planes buzzed above Dankuk's aerospace jammed radio frequencies for the period in which the operation was being executed.

The air-force employed a mixed-approach strategy of bombing and strafing runs against planes parked on the ground, and bombing to disable runways with special tarmac-shredding penetration bombs. To Kazulian Defence Command, the Operation was successful. Nevertheless, the air-force was not short of its loses. Although the Dankukin armed forces lost around 400 aircraft, some fighters of the air-force were shot down either due to being hit by surface to air missiles or losing in dog battles. It is estimated that around one hundred and twenty (60) of the initial three hundred (300) fighters were shot down.

Operation Peninsula Spear: Southern Dankuk secured
Ground Forces confirm southern Dankuk captured; Army victorious in urban combat

5th September, 4370.

Defence Command announced that Army through the efforts of the 10 Divisions initially sent into the country had secured the southern portion of Dankuk, thus sending the Dankukin Armed Forces on a retreat into the northern regions of the provinces of Eljang and Loren. With the southern border secure, Defence Command ordered for seven (7) divisions to continue their push, leaving around three (3) divisions to completely sweep the region for resistance pockets and to ensure an unexpected enemy counter-offensive is derailed immediately. According to reconnaissance reports, the southern provinces now had the least concentration of Dankukin soldiers, pointing to the fact that the Dankukin Armed Forces had withdrawn the majority of their remaining man power from the southern regions towards the battle-line established throughout the regions north of Eljang and Loren.

The amphibious assault launched in Loren weeks prior has been marked as an unconditional success for the Kazulian Armed Forces and an unconditional defeat for the Dankukin Armed Forces. According to statements from Defence Command, the retreat of Dankukin Armed Forces to the northern regions of Dankuk enabled them to drive deep into the southern region of Loren where they are expected to rendezvous with the three (3) divisions remaining in southern Eljang and Loren. The Federal Department of Defence announced the introduction of additional resources for the advance, mainly in the form of the capabilities of the NORDIC Aerospace Monitoring Suit.

International discord has generated out of the conflict recently after the Dankukin Ambassador to the World Congress pressed for an immediate ceasefire. In his address he accused the Kingdom of Kazulia of being aggressive and called on the international community to press peace. Apart from this he championed the sentiments of the totalitarian regime in Dankuk and appealed to the international community for assistance. Officials from Defence Command refused to comment on the premise of meeting with the Dankukin Government for a ceasefire, as it was announced that the order would have to either come from the Monarch, the Prime Minister, the Defence Minister or the Chief of Defence. With the three former stating that they had put the decision into the hands of General Marius Aukland, it is unclear whether General Aukland will call for an immediate ceasefire, this is almost reminiscent of similar moves made during the Hulstro-Kazulian War.

Operation Peninsula Spear: Advance halted, Ceasefire announced
Chief of Defence orders halt on armed forces advance into northern Dankuk; Ceasefire to be negotiated

22nd November, 4370

Around 0800 this morning, against a background of success of Operation Peninsula Spear, General Marius Aukland announced a halt in the army's advance into northern Dankuk. Defence Command announced that the armed forces was within striking distance of northern Dankuk and was in the process of preparing assets for a harder push into the heartland when General Aukland ordered the halt in the advance. It has been reported by Dankukin state media that the majority of the Dankukin Armed Forces had retreated to positions behind the Heinrich Line in anticipation for continued operations by the Kazulian Armed Forces, thus leaving the northern sectors of the country to be carved up by the advancing Kazulian Armed Forces. Defence Command stated that although they had not achieved their primary objective, almost all of the invasion's secondary objectives had been accomplished.

In the streets of Skalm, thousands of citizens have gathered to rejoice the quasi-end of the conflict which had resulted in a partial Kazulian victory. Hundreds of thousands of Kazulians, flocked to the Department of Defence to greet General Aukland, who had returned from the battlefield to discuss the conclusion of the conflict with the Prime Minister. Dahlberg, although Prime Minister and the second most important individual in the country, said that this day was the day of the Armed Forces and those who sacrificed dearly to ensure the survival of the nation, were avenged through an invasion of the Dankukin homeland. King Haakon, announced his intention to propose a Royal Decree which would mark this day "Sigr (Victory)" to remember the efforts made by the people in ensuring the nation's survival.

Prime Minister Dahlberg announced that he had ordered diplomatic missions of Kazulia across terra to announce the nation's intention for a ceasefire. He stated that he intends on personally going to the World Congress to announce his government's intention for a formal ceasefire and hopefully a peace agreement with the government of Dankuk. Currently the army is gathering equipment left by the retreating Dankukin Armed Forces to be placed in reserve and possibly in museums. General Aukland said
This nation has showed the international community once again that we are more than capable of ensuring our nation's defence against any and all external and internal threats. Our nation bares the mark of a nation that has shown the world that Kazulians will walk this world unharmed, that it is capable of doing more than just defending its interests. On the prospect of a ceasefire,I am awaiting a communique from the Dankukin government on agreeing to the ceasefire.

With the conflict quasi-concluded, the Kingdom of Kazulia walks away with large sums of Dankukin land, including the province of Eljang and southern Loren. It is hoped that the peace process will pave the way for peace within the region.

Dankuk accepts ceasefire
Supreme General Pom Jae-Hui has accepted the ceasefire proposed by the Kazulian government.
We have accepted this cease-fire so that the violence may end. Mothers may soon see there children back home. Sadly for the mothers of those 20,000 dead on the battlefields. While this ceasefire is in place hopefully we can undo the damage of this war and advance our armed forces and economy.

Reunification
Sørvestland reunified with Dankuk; administration leaves
11th December, 4372

Sørvestland has been reunified with the Grand Imperial Union of Dankuk ending the civil administration and the Kazulian occupation of the territory. Delegations from Dankuk and Kazulia meet secretly to discuss the hand-over of Sørvestland to the Dankukin Government. The Kingdom of Kazulia has faced international mutilation for the event as it bowed to a power of lesser strength, through its return of Sørvestland to the Dankukin Government. Although financial aid had been routed to the nation, the Office of the Prime Minister stated that when the last Kazulian leaves Sørvestland, financial aid to the region would cease to exist as it would be once more an entity of the Dankukin Government. Reconstruction of the province has been tasked to the Dankukin Government as the Kazulian administration is taking its equipment/technology with it back to the mainland, with large amounts of construction being brought down at the command of the Kazulian Government. Analysts have labelled the State of Sørvestland as a failed nation-building experience. Before leaving the province, the Kazulian Armed Forces made a final display to the incoming Dankukin administration with a beating retreat of all 110,000 troops stationed in the province. According to Prime Minister Dahlberg, the travel ban and economic sanctions on Dankuk still remain.
