The Confederation in our modern age is very different to the Confederation set up nearly one millenia ago in order to cease hostilities between the New Endralonians, Kizenians, and Kuzakis. That Confederation was aimed at granting autonomous power to the three individual republics, whilst giving each people a state to unite under in order to defeat the us and them attitude of each of the three peoples that was prevalent at the time.
This us and them attitude has been successfully crushed, quite rightly by the Confederation, but this has meant the Confederation no longer holds purpose. Instead of retaining the autonomy of the three Republics, we have instead seen an ever more controlling central government trying to dictate legislation that should be being passed down to the Republics. The whole basis upon which the Confederation was designed has collapsed, and therefore we need to take action.
Consequently, we find Kuzaki secession necessary. The truth of the matter is that we, as a small and geographically mountainous region of the Confederation, have little in common with the people who live in Cetatea Albă. We shouldn't have to adhere to the laws and policies of a government which fundamentally doesn't represent those who live in Kutohaderia.
The opinions of the PB are horrific. It is a discerning thought that these people still hold these archaic and frankly incorrect views. People are individuals and deserve full autonomy over their own lives. That includes who they marry, and whether they want to get divorced. The intruding nature of the PB's policies is a perfect example of why people, like me, are fighting for an independent Kuzaki Republic...
...This was the first time the PB have voted on anything in the Chamber for seventeen long years. This, I think shows how long it takes for this Chamber to get anything done. If they can't even create bills between 4360 and the time that the PIK has formed, then I dread to think what's going to happen now that the PIK have actually passed some legislation. I think that this sluggish behaviour, when it comes to the two main parties and the Chamber, demonstrates the overwhelming level of bureaucracy which is clogging up the system. This naturally prevents progress being made in the individual Republics, and is yet another reason to why the Kuzaki Republic ought to secede from the Confederation.
We are very concerned with the situation in Egelion. The illegal armed protests in Egelion are not good for the stability in Keris. Therefore we support this [The extra cooperation]. We have reinforced the border with Egelion, to discourage all illegal activities in the region with the border. We will keep our promise to share our intelligence.
We in the Confederation have always had some trouble with illegal communist organisations. For a long time they were relatively peacefull but with the Egelionese unrest they are once agian increasingly active. We fear that the groups within the Confederation and the communists terrorists will cooperate, and we have to stop that.
I would also like to inform you that we will welcome the refugees that flee to the Confederation from the communist violence.
The issue with the Ecology Preservation and Exploitation Act is that, whilst it does address some key environmental issues, such as the legality of whaling - something that I have long campaigned against - it does not equally, and sustainably balance the needs of industry and the environment. No we do not have a bunch of climate change deniers in the PITR, but instead we have politicians who are trying to balance the environment and business, and are frankly doing a bad job of it.
