ITOH ANNOUNCES TERROR CAMPAIGN
Following the NC invasion of Bianjie Emperor Itoh has announced his "terror" campaign

It has been war in Bianjie for over 18 years now and the nation is practically nonexistent. Emperor Itoh has been in power for around 5 years. However the Emperor's main concern is the increasing danger of NC intervention causing him to only prepare for such an attack instead of rebuilding the nation. It is estimated that the Imperial Army now has around 81.232 soldiers enlisted in it. While they have minimal vehicle support they still have around 40 tanks at their disposal and some light mortar equipment.

But the NC has now finally attacked Bianjie itself. Kazulia and Lourennais have launched a offensive against bianjie and have taken Mo Ching Airport in the process. Following this foreign attack emperor Itoh reacted furious and said the following.

This attack of a foreign agressor on our territory is once again a show of western imperialism! We cannot stand idle while our sacred land is being taken! I hereby announce the start of a campaign of terror against the foreign invaders! We will use all means necessary to drive them out and let them feel the might of the Bianjian Empire!

Immediately after this declaration by the Emperor international observers reported sightings of chemical barrels in central Bianjie and several children have also been reported to carry weapons. It seems the Emperor is willing to do anything to maintain his power. Something more sinister has also been reported. In the capital of Bianjie Itoh has ordered the hanging of 26 year old former crown prince Sugano. Sugano had been captured by imperial forces and was under their custody for over 5 years. Sugano was hanged in the central town square of the capital with a crowd of imperial supporters shouting in excitement.

Meanwhile the IDF (Indralan Defense Force) is still fighting in the mountains of Bianjie. However sightings of the same chemical barrels seen in central Bianjie have also been reported near these mountains with large troop movements also being seen.

This fight is sure to bring even more death and destruction to the already exhausted Bianjie.......

Earlier this morning, on the background of the Northern Council's operations in Bianjie, it had been announced that the Kazulian-led coalition had liberated the cities of Asahama and Garaat from imperial control, in what has been dobbed as the first major engagement in the conflict between the Northern Council and Emperor Itoh's Bianjie. According to information released by the Federal Department of Defence, thousands of Kazulian, Lourennais and Hulstrian troops attacked various fortresses around the cities of Asahama and Garaat, moving by land and through the air to destroy the imperial army's largest havens in the province and begin a campaign to reassert the presence of the Indralan minority and a democratic government in the form of the Northern Council sponsored National Reconstructive Assembly. The force of about 120,000—a majority being Indralan militia—began moving into the two cities simultaneously around midnight. As Hulstrian and Lourennais ground troops enter the outskirts of the cities, Kazulian paratroopers were dropped in the middle of both cities via helicopter insertion. During their operations to secure various positions around the cities and establish positions around the fortresses, the paratroopers received little to no resistance mainly due to the fact that according to officials within the FDoD, Kazulian special operations teams had swept the cities before the airborne insertion. With most of the residents in the town still sleeping, Brigadier Nicolai Ditlevsen, commander of the airborne operation, the objective of the combined insertion of ground forces and airborne troops was not to shake the branch, but to bring down the entire tree.

Prior to assaulting the major fortresses, aircraft from the Kazulian Air Force pounded fortifications around the fortress' perimeter and also bombed positions in northern Bianjie where high ranking commanders were believed to be hiding. Hulstrian troops began to establish cordons around the city in anticipation of the ground assault that would follow. Outside Asahama and Garaat stand stronghold positions of the Imperial Army, whereby the Imperial Army had been firmly entrenched. At dawn, Kazulian, Hulstrian, Lourennais and Indralan militia made their way through the town and towards the fortress. Through close-air-support, the fortress' inner fortifications had been brought down via bunker-busting missiles. According to Brigadier Ditlevsen, stiff resistance had been met upon entering the massive fortresses. Ditlevsen stressed on the importance of speed with respect to the operation itself, citing Emperor Itoh's proclamation of an insurgency against the coalition-forces, operations had to been conducted before the civilian population were aware that the fortresses were under attack. Psychological warfare units had conducted operations throughout Bianjie, as it had been believed by General Holger Kirkegaard, commander of Northern Council operations in Bianjie, the war must be aimed at wining the hearts and minds of the people.

The operation concluded when the Northern Council hoisted a flag of the National Reconstructive Assembly above the fortresses in Asahama and Garaat. Although it has been reported that minor skirmishes are on-going, major battle-groups of the Imperial Army had been destroyed, with paratroopers reporting to have eliminated a quick reaction force which served in reserve to the fortresses and their garrisoned troops. In other news, following recent developments in the Sea of Lost Souls, the Kazulian signals intelligence ship KNS-Oliver Fiske had been ordered to withdraw from the region after gathering data on Hawu Mumenhes, Istalia and Saridani military units, with a response from the Northern Council to be announced in the co

IMPERIAL FORCES LAUNCH "PEOPLE'S OFFENSIVE"
After victory's by the coalition the Imperial Army launched a massive offensive accros the line

Upon the loss of major battlegroups and a few strongholds in the region surrounding Garaat the Imperial Army was given an order to initially stay put. Satellite images suggested that the Imperial Army was planning something but before coalition forces could react it was clear they were to late. The Imperial Army launched a massive and inhumane assault on coalition lines, using the small amount of artillery they had to launch chemical attacks on coalition positions. The chemicals penetrated the skin of coalition soldiers and burned their body's. When the chemicals were largely out of the air and the coalition forces still in shock the inhumane attack was followed by a massive infantry assault with an estimated 30.000 imperial troops storming major coalition positions. Even though the Imperial Army suffered massive casualties (around 5.400) they managed to retake several positions surrounding Garaat and even manage to start a siege on the recently lost fortress surrounding it and pressuring the supplies coming to the fortress.
The Imperial troops morale was extremely high and slowly the people in Garaat and the surrounding areas starting to join the imperial ranks seeing their succes against what many call the "foreign invaders"

Image
Imperial Forces with their gassmasks on assaulting coalition positions

This inhumane attack has seen outrage accros the world and many nations have condemned the Emperor and his assault.
But despite this the emperor seems not to be alarmed and has announced the "major victory against foreign forces"
Emperor Itoh is reported to plan even more attacks against coalition forces and with this horrible attack printed in the coalition soldiers their minds the morale has lowered to an all time low in coalition circles. Possible counterattacks from the coalition have yet to be determined but airstrikes could be seen on imperial positions already. The airpower of the coalition is also a big advantage since the Imperial Army has no airforce. We will keep you up to date on how things develop.

Major Dorgon Factions Unite
February 4412

Two Dorgon factions led by rival claimants to the Salt Throne, one led by Taksi's second son Prince Hada and one led by Prince Maki, Hada's paternal uncle have agreed to unite as one force to take on their common rival Emperor Itoh. The new front will fight alongside the Kazulians who are currently storming about Bianjie in an effort to dislodge the repugnant Itoh. An agreement was signed in Skalm, Kazulian with several surviving Dorgon princes and princesses signing on. Upon restoration of the main line,, Maki and Hada are to serve as co-regents with the elderly Maki serving as the senior Khan while the younger 44 year old Hada will be the junior one.

The monarchs have issued their first joint order on the remnants of their supporters and forces to assist the Kazulian forces and join them where possible. This will be highly risky as the entire country is under the control of Itoh and would consist of them fleeing to join the Kazulians or alternatively, carrying out guerilla attacks against Itohan forces. A number of important relatives such Jelbek Hatun Dowager Yehenara Dorgon, Hada's paternal aunt have dipped into their personal fortunes to support the union.

Dispatches from the front

Emperor Itoh captured by Kazulian forces in bloodless raid
Emperor Itoh captured by Kazulian Special Operations group; Skalm vows Itoh will face justice.
Image

Earlier this morning on the background of the conflict in Bianjie, Kazulian Special Operations teams captured as dazed Emperor Itoh in an underground hideout near his Imperial Palace. Prime Minister Ruth Marie Kjøl announced to the Stortinget and the nation that the tyrant known as Emperor Itoh had been captured by Kazulian forces and was currently being transported from Bianjie to Skalm whereby he will face the full brunt of the Kazulian judicial system for crimes against humanity including ethnic extermination, torture, use of chemical weapons against civilians, forced child labour and forced ethnic assimilation. Emperor Itoh's arrest marks the end of the tyrants brutal reign in Bianjie which had resulted in the near extinction of the nation indigenous indralan population. Minister of Defence Thorleif Brundtland stated that although Emperor Itoh had been captured, the end of violence in Bianjie would not come overnight as immediately after his father's arrest, Arai Kawanari vowed to release his father from the shackles of Kazulian imprisonment. The arrest of Emperor Itoh Kawanari comes years after Kazulia's intervention into the genocide in Bianjie and brings an end to one of the most intense manhunts ever launched by the Kazulian Government.

On the television and radio people could be seen and heard either mourning or celebrating Emperor Itoh's death. In the nation's capital, various statues celebrating the tyrant were brought down and members of his family were rounded up by the dragon factions and subsequently shot on national television for the purpose of sending a message to the proponents of Emperor Itoh's regime. "Strike the shepherd and the sheep will scatter," one man said reference a scripture in the Katub. According to the Department of Defence, Emperor Itoh had been captured without a single shot being fired in the walled compound. According to Lt. General Asbjørn Tonnessen, commander of Kazulian Overseas Forces Bianjie, the compound had been made to blend in with the surrounding environment which had been conquered by overgrown shrubs and rocks. Within the compound Kazulian Special Operations teams found various vehicles ranging from Dorvish built luxury cars to Kazulian built armoured cars. According to Lt. General Tonnessen the items found in the compound would be seized and subsequently scrapped/destroyed, with the compound itself set to be destroyed next month.

Lt. General Tonnessen stated that after speaking to Emperor Itoh in transit to Mu Ching International Airport where he will be transferred to Skalm for trial, he been extremely cooperative. He stated that Emperor Itoh tried to bargain with Tonnessen, stating that he would disclose the location of Bianjie's "sleeper-cells" operating in Kazulia in exchange for his release. Tonnessen stated that although the locations of Bianjie's "sleeper-cells" were already known to the Security Bureau, Itoh will not be released under any circumstance and will face trial in Skalm for human rights violations in Bianjie. When asked about the threats made by Arai Kawanari, Emperor Itoh's son, Lt. General Tonnessen stated that the same special operations groups responsible for the arrest on Itoh had launched a manhunt for Arai. Lt. General Tonnessen stated that the situation in Bianjie was not over as members of Itoh's regime have already broken apart forming fringe groups. Tonnessen stated that Kazulian Forces were actively assisting the dragon factions and helping the Indralan minority of Bianjie to move out of the mountains and secure a portion of Bianjie whereby they could call their undisputed home.

Co-Khans Enthroned
December 4413

Following the capture of Emperor Itoh and the collapse of his regime, claimants Princes Hada and Maki have been formally enthroned as the joint Khans of Bianjie. The two arrived in the Summer Palace in the capital Gemun amidst euphoric cheers by the long oppressed populace of the city. In a hurried and rather less traditional ceremony, the two were installed with the support of four Banner commanders who control the areas which have already been liberated in the post-Itoh period while two more eastern Banners remain unpledged to the new monarchs although it is clear that neither can hold out for long with Kazulia strongly beside the new establishment.

Image

The country they take command of is a deeply scarred one. Around a third of its 1.2 million population was killed in the war and genocides sparked by Emperor Itoh. Several minorities particularly Indralans remain terrified and suspicious with only a few houndred returning home so far. The overwhelming public passion for reprisals, considerable starvation and very low standard of life make it almost impossible to rule the Khanate unaided. As such the Khans have asked the Kazulians to remain in the country until further notice. Junior Khan Hada is set to begin a worldwide journey asking for aid to reconstruct the ravaged country with a 12 week, 15 nation tour. Bianjie said it hoped to raise some 100 million LOD for a start and then possible extend that to half a billion if possible (roughly double the country's current estimated GDP)

Bianjie Declares Neutrality

The co-Khans of Bianje, Hada and Maki have issued a joint declaration of neutrality in the Dovani War As per international law, the declarations have been repeated each time a country entered the Dovanian War, a most laborious process so far. The Ministry In Charge Of Affairs With All Nations (Foreign) has pleaded with combatants to respect the declaration and honour Bianjie's territorial integrity.

In a bid to guarantee this, the Six Banners have deployed extra forces along the nation's borders and a state of emergency has been declared over the entire Khanate. Bianjie has declared that it will detain any foreign soldiers detected within its territory as POWs until the conclusion of hostilities. The declaration of neutrality is viewed as a surprise as many had expected the Khans to support the alliance associated with their former benefactor Kazulia.

Image
A copy of the first declaration issued

Contrary to the expectation of most, the diarchy has worked rather well for the past fifteen years. The two Khans have worked hard to restore harmony to the Khanate and have successful attracted some reconstruction aid. The senior Khan Maki tends to focus on security related matters while his nephew Hada is more concerned with domestic reforms.
