"After several months of preparations, the State Duma has decided to formally open up exile proceedings for the ex-Tsar Arkadiy II. Prior to these proceedings, it was well known that our new government had, under a joint operation by the Ministry of Justice as well as local Rodshyadam police forces, confined Arkadiy to his manor under house arrest until a predetermined date could be chosen for the aforementioned proceedings. Now the votes are in. However several seats in the Duma remain empty, afterthe Partiya Narodnoy Svobody retired from politics. With our 569 seats, over 554 have voted in favor, with 15 abstaining or voting no. The Duma has, with full confidence, voted for the official exile of Arkadiy Arkadiyevich Perezhogin, formerly His Royal Northern Highness. In prepared statements issued before the parliament, Mr. Perezhogin has wished for exile to Indrala upon his own request. The Duma has voted in favor of Mr. Perezhogin's choice, with over 100% of deputies voting yes. Upon closing of these proceedings, upon the order of Chairman of the Council of Ministers, Valentin Konstantinov, the former monarch has a maximum deadline of over 60 days to make arrangements for his move."
"Distinguished members of the Transitional Parliament,
I would personally like to begin this delegation with many thanks to all government agencies that were needed during demonarchization. They have shown the utmost professionalism in trying times like these for our new republic. It is today that I announce to you that Phase I of our socialist reforms have been completed. Henceforth on the agenda for the Transitional Republic is the integration of Phase II, which is most likely to be the longest. It is difficult to exactly determine how long the reforms will take, but a likely estimate will be 3-4 years, likely finalizing during or after the Winter Olympics in Rechtenburg. I would like to address, briefly, the aforementioned Winter Olympics—Trigunia will attend, but represented as a neutral team, as we have done with the Lourennian open. I digress. On the close of my delegation, let us work hard in our task of building socialism and enacting greater freedoms for our people, and break Trigunia free from the bonds of reactionary thought and culminate of making the motherland an international power once more."
We are a country of changing ideologies and mentalities. That is why I formally decide to open the diplomatic cables with Kazulia for the discussion of a location, date and time for membership talks for Trigunia into the Northern Council. The previous governments of the motherland have been hostile to regional neighbors, whereas we should foster strong diplomatic bonds regardless of political ideology. For Trigunia to be strong, we must accept the socialist desire for internationalism as opposed to the archaic ideal of isolationism. Speaking specifically about the talks, our government would be content with a summit at Kazulia, Trigunia, or any other member state of the Northern Council. However it is entirely at Kazulia's discretion. As we abandon our hostilities for the Northern Council, we also would like Kazulia to share the same for our nation. If we are to build stronger ties with one another the first step is a guarantee of mutual respect. We are keeping our foreign channels fully open for any response from the Kazulian government or that of the Northern Council.
To be stronger, we must be stronger together. United in the cause of internationalism!
Distinguished members of the Transitional Parliament,
Today we see a republic threatened by outside forces. Religious extremists in the nation of Saridan have threatened nuclear attacks on their people on numerous occasions. The people of Saridan are also subject to oppression by their fascistic leader Curtis Spencer, of whom has legalized slavery and segregation, mind you! Trigunia has already committed to being a driving force once more on the international stage, both politically and diplomatically, and so therefore, we pledge our support of Mordusia in these trying times. However, some important things are of note. As we are still transitioning, the armed forces will not have a direct role if any conflict is to break out, which with the current tensions, seems incredibly likely. I have already expressed interest in a state visit to Mordusia and the holding of a summit for aid to their nation. Likely within the coming weeks I will fly to Rechtenburg myself. If we are to see success in our negotiations, then Trigunia will send supplies to the nation and possibly volunteers. Volunteers from our nation will be from fellow workers militias, but we will likely ask for approval from the Northern Council to send them there. Mordusia has a lot of socialist comrades within it and they so desperately require our aid in fighting this fascist menace. Well, tovarishchi, we shall so graciously oblige them!
Workers of the world, unite!
Distinguished Members of the Supreme Soviet,
Today we have wholly voted no on the motherland's entrance into the Northern Council. Yes, it is shocking, I will admit. Conditions were good prior to this, but the simple answer is that soured diplomatic relations are to blame here. Previously Kazulia has been watchful of fellow communist governments across Terra but taking a neutral stance. It seems now that our comrades in Dundorf are in threat of their government collapsing Kazulia swoops in like a vulture to condemn both their government and Dorvik. They have also reverted from a republic to a kingdom, a sign of reactionary elements at play. Whilst we are internationalist, we refuse to negotiate diplomatically with monarchist and fascist governments. I'm sure the government of the previous Transitional Republic already saw my standing on the Mordusia-Saridan affair [Scattered laughter is heard across the Supreme Soviet]. But I digress. We will not tolerate such comments to our fellow socialist comrades across Terra. As we see our withdrawal from membership into the Northern Council, it seems that the motherland will have to search for allies elsewhere.
