INDRALA WINS WORLD CUP BID
FIFA WORLD CUP OF 4410 HOSTING RIGHTS WON BY INDRALAN DELEGATION

The State of Indrala has won the right to host the 4410 World Cup after the lots were drawn at the 4408 FIFA Conference in Aŭgusta. A joint bid by Indrala saw off the challenge of rival proposals from Tukarali, Beluzia and Cobura, winning the bid after the ‘Indrala 4410’-ball was chosen by FIFA President Michael Ashfeld. Tukarali and Beluzia both hoped to become the first Seleyan nation to host the tournament but suffered defeat in the World Cup bidding. One delegate, representing Tukarali, called it ‘sad, very sad’. 4410 will therefore see the World Cup return to Indrala for the first time, after it being hosted in Istalia and New Endralon.

The 4410 tournament will also be the second World Cup to be actually held, since the 4240 World Cup in New Endralon was canceled after money issues. A total of 111 matches will be played between 43 FIFA member nations, in 5 groups of 5 and 3 groups of 6.

Xianming Li, delegate of the Indralan Footbal Association told TCI: “It’s a bit emotional for us today. Thank you so, so very much for this incredible honour. Thank you for entrusting us with the privilege of hosting the FIFA World Cup in 4410.

The beautiful game transcends borders and cultures. Football today is the only victor. And in that spirit we wish all Indralan hosts and all the teams competing here the very best of luck.

The Indralan bid was considered the front-runner from the start of the process in 4405 and expects its tournament to generate approximately $14bn (£10.3bn) in revenue, including an $11bn (£8.1bn) profit for FIFA.

Cobura’s 4410 proposal gained momentum as the process went on but logistical concerns regarding stadiums, accommodation and transportation hung over the bid from the start.
Fifa’s inspection task force rated hosting a World Cup in Cobura as “high risk” last month, awarding the country a rating of 2.7 out of 5. Beluzian bid, meanwhile, received a score of 4 out of 5 and was deemed to be a low risk proposal, against a 3.8 for the Tukaralian bid. Delegates at Wednesday’s congress were reminded of the findings by Fifa’s general secretary Fatma Samasma shortly before voting commenced.

Fouzi Lekjina, the president of the Coburan Football Federation, vowed that the country would not give up on its ‘dream’ of a Coburan World Cup. “I wish to congratulate Fifa for the conduct of this process and congratulate the president for what he has done in order to move things towards more transparency and more inclusion,” he said. “I would like to reaffirm the determination of my country to continue to work for football and realise one day our dream to host the World Cup in Cobura.”

Coburan Prime Minister Diamo Tesfaye congratulated the Indralan bid on securing the tournament via social media. “Indrala just won the 4410 FIFA World Cup Bid. Congratulations – a great deal of hard work, well deserved.” he tweeted.
