Henry David Lee, Ambassador to the General Assembly from KalistanWith respect to the honorable and level measured Hawu Ambassador: The only reason we called Hawu their allies is because they themselves used the word 'allies' when referring to the Northern Council The Ambassador said 'our Northern Council Allies'. Since the Northern Council maintains a street gang mentality, naturally, one could understand how Kalistan made such an error, and if it is an error, we apologize for it, and retract the comment.
In regards to the Ananto Strait question, The Socialist Party was reorganized specifically to restore order to the, as the Ambassador puts it, 'confused and isolationist' situation in Kalistan. We informed Lourenne that their actions in the Anantonese Ocean, just off Ananto's coast, were troubling for Kalistan. They responded that they were the new dominant faction in the region and would do as they pleased, disregarding completely the concerns of Kalistan. We have worked out a modus vivendi with Lourenne since the conflict, and are satisfied that their security measures and our security measures will now no longer threaten one another.
We appreciate the advise from our Hawu colleague, as from big brother to little brother informing us that in order to promote peace in the world, we must get on board with the train which is leaving the station and is being driven by imperialist powers who are also driving their navies toward certain expansion of the conflict in Majatra. It is rather interesting to us, however, as little brother, to note the seeming inconsistency in the speeches of the world's powers, who speak of peace, and their actions which scream war.
While we appreciate the advise of our big brother Hawu Mumenhes, we would like to offer a word of our own. To avoid war, you simply need not participate in it. To guarantee war, you simply must choose it.
We will not call for the disarming of Vanuku. It terms of relative power, a weakening of Vanuku is a strengthening of the Northern Council. If Vanuku is to be disarmed, so must the major force in the Northern Hemisphere, because it appears to us, in neutral Kalistan, that the power which has attacked us is more immediately dangerous than the power which armed us, in a larger sense, outside of this acute violation of international norms.
We thank the Ambassador for their advice, however.
