That's a shame. With the New Liberals and Socialists gone Hutori is basically a one-party state with the exception of the Reformers. Hopefully the others won't mind and leave for lack of severe conflict. Or worse, feel obliged to create conflict. I for one enjoy peaceful and cooperative roleplay scenarios. Maybe other people will join Hutori with the new openings?
I was thinking of reporting the incident too, but felt like it would be too OOC in getting rid of the opposition. Vesica did the right thing though.
The incident was extremely suspect. Even if they know someone in real life, why would they authorize that kind of post in their name? I can't think of any logical legitimate reason except for two people using the same computer and one forgot to log off or accidentally logged in to their roommate's account — and felt nervous after making a post that revealed their mistake Best they disclose that to moderation immediately if they were doing that and that they not be registered in the same country (or spheres of influence). As a site administrator elsewhere, the first thing I would do is to see if either account was using the same IP address or had identical system information. I don't know how much access moderation has to that however.
