September 4417High Chancellor Barna Expresses Concern over Third World DevelopementsCetatea Albâ - High Chancellor Barna has expressed concern over the recent developements in the third world. In particular the authoritarian regimes of Xsampo and Medina are a concern, for they seem to have expansion ideas which go against the national sovereignity of multple countries. Where Xsampa seems to be a major power in recent years thanks to the unificaton with Hanzen and a invasion in Kimlien, sultan Azeez has taken a even more agressive route with the invasion of first Medina itself, and then Tropica and Utembo. Now with an invasion in Temania Medina starts to become a real power, capable of actually matching the power of developed countries. With the combined invasion of Utembo by both Xsampa and Medina, these aspiring empires have gained a combined strength unmatched by any nation in the third world. And that is even without the alliance with Statrica, another third world regional power. With the regime change in Medina, and the invasion of Tropica, some may wonder why New Endralon, as an allied force in the fight against the Medinese Empire, responds this late. But that is all because of the infamous isolationist policies of former High Chancellor Molnár, who didn't involve himself in foreign affairs in fear of a national backslash.
Because of this the position of New Endralon is in danger. It won't be able to match the combined strength of Xsampa, Medina and former ally Statrica. Even warthorn Vanakalam is now under the influence of Medina, meaning that the influence of this mighty alliance is already spread over three continents, Dovani, Temania and Vascania. To still have some influence in the third world New Endralon might have to cooperate with Northern Council ally Lourenne, with who they also cooperated in the Medinese War. Kazulia, which showed some initiative after the developements in the third world has slowly moved into the background after a change of government.
In his speach, High Chancellor Barna explains that the growth of the empire will not stop unless the international community acts. "I have never sean such little justification for wars than by these two regimes. And there is no, absolutely no reason to believe that the expansion of these two empires will stop. I suspect that Ntoto will fall next to the terrible warlust of Xsampa, while Medina will probably expand further in Temania (the continent) or Bianjie." The national newspaper of Medina already talked about the will to "topple Lourenne, crush New Endralon, decimate Talmoria." We will see what happens, now that New Endralon is finally acknowledging the power of the former colonies.
