Ostland denies Kazulian request for passageSeptember, 4500Wolfsheim - Grand Duke Florian was joined earlier today by State Chancellor Claus Wilhelm von Pölzl, Dorvish General-Plenipotentiary to Ostland Heinz Schädler and Minister of Defense
Generaloberst Karlheinz von Eisenhaus-Pilc to denounce Kazulia's request for passage through Ostland into Istapali. The Grand Duke, who has personally become involved in this conflict, has noted that should Kazulia breach any sovereign territory of Ostland that there would be "...serious consequences, not only from Ostland but from allies of Ostland." The Grand Duke was notably joined by the Dorvish General-Plenipotentiary (Ambassador) to Ostland Heinz Schädler who noted that the Dorvish Republic's training and material support over the past several years had lead to an increase in both size and stature of the Ostland Armed Forces, notably in land and air warfare. While Ostland would unlikely be able to withstand a direct assault from the Kazulian Armed Forces for a sustained period of time, the arrival of Dorvish and potentially other allied forces would likely overwhelm the now dwindling Kazulian Armed Forces that have remained based since the collapse of the Northern Council and the National Workers' Congress, which had a long and storied history of promoting the Kingdom's Armed Forces.
Grand Duke Florian ordered District Commissar's into the districts bordering Kazulia and has further deployed troops to meet any perceived assault from Kazulia. Dorvish Foreign Minister Eckhart Röhr has already announced sanctions on Utari Mosir and potentially more down the line; the Dorvish have once again become a political force in international affairs and it is believed that they will directly intervene if Kazulia or any military action takes place. Dorvish advisors have already been attached to Ostland training and support units, most of which are meant to enhance the training of the Ostland Armed Forces. Dorvik has also approved several millions worth of arms sales, short of major weapon systems to Ostland but rumors have been afloat that they might be supportive of major land systems and potentially air systems to further enhance the Ostland Armed Forces' capabilities.
