Not sure if this is where I post this. But on the alpha test I can't recruit (button is gone).

This forum is generally still for PT Classic. Just so you know next time.
Ill respond anyway, recruiting politicians costs Political Capital in the new PT. So if you run out of PC the button disappears

Aah sorry. No update yet. We have been busy with preparing Release One for consultations. But i assure you that i will put it on the agenda immediately and ask the other mods about it.

This was brought to Moderation's attention two weeks ago, and followed a long line of previous incidents where Moderators were failing to maintain the Nation Renaming Guide.

The Nation Renaming Guide, and Moderation's approach to nation renaming generally, is in such obvious disarray now that it raises the question of whether it is reasonable to continue to try to arbitrarily enforce it on players. Perhaps it would be better now to abolish the Nation Renaming Guide and go back to the original system of allowing players to have their nation's title in whatever language they want. This is not at all what I would personally prefer, I add, but in the circumstances, I honestly think this might be best.

The account below appears to have been inactivated in error. It was logged in less than 5 hours before Luis performed the inactivation.

There appears to have been a further case in which a player's account was inactivated in error.

First one had the log-in bug and has been deactivated.
Second one has also been done

The user's account has the log-in bug, meaning that the "Last activity:" record always shows as "not recorded". There is no basis in the Game Rules for inactivating accounts simply because they have the log-in bug, since this is not the fault of the player. Making decisions about when to inactivate these accounts is meant to be based on looking at their voting records, to try to estimate when they last logged in.

In this case, the account was inactivated in September 4505 game time. The most recent bill the player voted on entered the voting stage in July 4504 and finished the voting stage in March 4505. This proves the player logged in to vote during the 48 hours before being inactivated. The usual procedure is that players can only have an account inactivated on request after 72 hours of not logging in.

For understandable reasons, players sometimes find it a bit tough when they are inactivated during the Christmas period. I am not suggesting suspending the usual rules over Christmas, but I do really think it is important for Moderation not to go beyond the rules in inactivating players early. And obviously, that applies all year round, not only during Christmas.

Please login to the in-game Moderation account and see the pm above. The player would like to be reactivated.

Please attend to the issue with the player mentioned in my previous post ASAP. Mods have been online and doing stuff etc., but he has still not been reactivated. He should not have been inactivated in the first place.

done

Moderation has mistakenly cleared out Badara's Cultural Protocol reference bill: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill. ... lid=475025

This bill relates to Badara's current Cultural Protocol, and needs to be in the bills-under-debate section, in accordance with the Game Rules:

To install a new Cultural Protocol or replace a current one, users should pass a bill with the support of a two-thirds majority of players with seats and then post a link to the bill on the Cultural Protocols Approval Thread. Following this Moderation will leave the submission pending for 48 hours, so that any community member with an objection can raise them, Moderation will also review in detail the proposal. Once Moderation approval has been given a player should then post a copy of the bill in the “bills under debate” section of their nation, with a link to the original bill.

Okay, so the Social Democratic Party in Solentia has now been reactivated. Thank you for that.

One small issue remaining...I see Moderation has created a new Cultural Protocol reference bill in Badara, but the Game Rules link included there now no longer works, due to Moderation having changed the location of the Game Rules. The correct url for the Game Rules is

Code: Select all
