HKBC FirstBaltusian Bank of Commerce announced its intentions to transform Fremont into a technology hub via the construction of the bank's technology and data centres in the city. FBBC intends on hiring 5,000 people through this venture which had been finalised with the Governor of Ralston, Derek Carter. The Baltusian subsidiary of Kazulian mega-bank, HKBC (Hutorian/Kazulian Banking Corporation), will become the largest employer in Fremont after the Federal Government. Chairman of FBBC Damion King stated that Fremont offered unique opportunity for the banking firm's expansion. At average the bank's jobs in its future "Quartz Centre" could potentially pay up to $200,000 based on job requirements. King said that both HKBC Baltusia and FirstBaltusian are likely to share the facility, thus leading to the assumption that the facility to be constructed by FirstBaltusia with some assistance from HKBC Baltusia is expected to be large, around 1 million square feet (22 acres). The Quartz Centre will house FistBaltusian's data centres which will service for the entire region of Seleya and will similarly host HKBC Baltusia's new headquarters. HKBC Baltusia's move from Johnston D.D comes amid an agreement with Governor Carter to assist in the gentrification of Fremont. Håkon Sandberg, Kazulian-born CFO of FBBC stated that he had requested various grants and tax incentives from both the Mayor of Fremont and Governor Carter.
Håkon Sandberg wrote:I had requested that both the City of Fremont and the State of Ralston would grant us tax incentives to ensure that our landing in Fremont is soft. So far we have not received any word from either the Mayor of Fremont and the Governor Ralston. However, we will continue to press for tax incentives.
Amidst the attempt to gentrify Fremont, the real estate arm of FBBC is set to expand deeper into Fremont's property market. The acquisition of Stuart & Paul by FBBC Real Estate will triple its revenue and add around 200 staff to its operations. The housing market in Fremont had slowed down significantly due to little foreign investment, however FBBC's introduction comes as a turning point for the city. The comes as HKBC Baltusia and FBBC are moving to gentrify and increase property value in the city amidst the company's intention to transform the city into a functional technical hub. Damion King called upon Governor Carter to make provisions allowing for businesses to the established easier in the state. He also called for Carter and the Mayor of Fremont to offer tax incentives to small business enterprises and companies with intentions to base operations in the city. FBBC is rapidly becoming the rising star in Baltusia's financial sector with its Chairman Damion King being ranked by CDS as one of the richest men in Baltusia.
