New Main Battle Tank design leaked
Rumours had been going around of a new battle tank being designed but official leaks have finally come out

It was chaos today at the ministry of defense as several blueprints of a new Main Battle Tank called the T-14 Armata were leaked early in the morning. When the ministry found out about the leaks they quickly organized a press conference in an attempt to keep control. The conference lasted several hours in which the ministry confirmed that a new tank was in development and nearly entering production fase. The T-14 Armata will be the next generation of tanks for the deltarian groundforce and is seen as a attempt to create a new tank comparable to the highly advanced tanks of the Kazulian army.
The new tank will therefor have a 125mm main cannon which is comparable to the Kazulian tank cannon's. It will hold many other highly advanced features and is seen by the ministry as a significant upgrade from the older T-90 tanks that are currently the main tanks in the groundforce.

Despite the production process already coming underway the ministry stated that this will not be a quick project as the new tank is rather expensive compared to the currently used T-90. The ministry expects to purchase around 40 new T-14 Armata tanks initially with more planned later on.

A big suprise in this project is the designer and manufacturer of the new tank. PRIME Limited, the subsidiary of the multi billion automotive company PRIME International has been working on the design of the tank for over 6 years now, having gained experience in tracked vehicles by the creation of their tracked heavy cargo trucks and in general automotive construction by there parent company. PRIME Limited is the full designer of the tank gaining help from engineers of the ground force itself, fully cementing their position in the military vehicle construction sector. PRIME Limited will be using the PRIME International factories to construct the initial order of 40 tanks and PRIME has already announced that it will open 4 factories for PRIME Limited itself which will be the first independent factories of the subsidiary.

The first few T-14 tanks are expected to roll out of the factory within 2 years.

First MI-28NM attack helicopters take flight
After 2 years of construction the first MI-28NM attack helicopters take flight during a fly demonstration

The highly anticipated MI-28NM attack helicopter was revealed today during a flight demonstration of the airforce near the deltarian capital. three of the in total 37 current MI-28NM helicopters showed the capabilities of the aircraft flying several miles around the area of the demonstration and showing of its weaponry during firing exercises on decomissioned deltarian tanks. Many who were present at the demonstration were amazed by the capabilities of the upgraded helicopter and the ministry of defense stated to be "sattisfied" with the new attack helicopter. A new order of 25 additional helicopters was placed as a result of the demonstration and more orders are to be followed according to insiders.

With the R-37 multirole fighter and the MI-28NM attack helicopter the airforce is getting stronger as it becomes comparable to airforces of other great powers accross terra.

Navy reveals plans for massive project, first nuclear powered supercarrier
More then 4 years have passed since the last time any ship was added to the navy its ranks but today that is changing

The ministry of Defense and naval command have released details on "one of the biggest projects we have ever done" earlier today in the weekly press conference of the president. The president gave the stage to the highest naval commander in the navy as well as a representative of the ministry of defense. There was some tension in the air as the two sat down but that tension quickly dissapeared as the men started their explanation with great enthusiasm.

We are happy to announce the following project for the navy and possibly the biggest project we have ever worked on. Project Němec as it is called will be a 10 year long project to develop and construct the first nuclear powered super carrier of the Deltarian navy. In addition to this new super carrier the navy will also construct a additional 4 destroyers and 2 attack submarines to make sure that this new ship and the other carriers in the fleet are well protected. While the Yegorovich class carriers currently in service are capable of carrying around 40 to 45 aircraft the new Němec carrier will be able to carry over 80 aircraft and will have a ton displacement of between 90.000 to 100.000 tons. As you all know this will be the first carrier thats fully developed by Deltaria as the Yegorovich carriers are of trigunian origin. During a round of questions several important things came up. The price of the entire development (research, drawing, construction) will be around 17 billion DTE and will be the most expensive project of the navy to date. Reporters (after having their questions checked) also asked how the ministry would pay for such a expensive project, explaining that the ministry is currently developing new tanks for the ground force, helicopters for the airforce and still in the midst of constructing R-37 jets. The ministry, in response, stated that the project is a "10 year long project" and that the costs will also be spread over those 10 years making the project affordable.

If the ministry decides to go through with the project the Němec carrier will be the new flagship of the deltarian navy and one of the largest aircraft carriers on Terra. No technical details on the massive carrier have been released as of yet but experts expect the carrier to be modern, comparable to technology on other carriers, with the only difference being its massive size.

Slight downturn in economic growth reported, stagnation expected
After years of ambitious military programs and more to come in the future the economy has seen a slight decrease in its growth

Analysts and experts expected it for some time following ambitious programs for the ground, air and naval forces in recent years and even more programs to come. Not only is the treasury barely able to keep up with mounting military costs the growth of the economy as a whole has also taken a hit. Earlier this year a average growthrate of 2.7% was reported which is rather good for the deltarian economy. But as the year progressed the real effects of the major modernizations and expansions in the branches of the military have started to show its effect, decreasing the growthrate by over 1.2% causing it to stagnate at a growthrate of around 1.5%. While this is still a stable growthrate the economic bureau is everything but satisfied as they forecast growing costs of healthcare, general public services and growing military ambitions will need a minimum growthrate of 2.1% a year to keep up. The recent expansions and modernizations did improve the unemployed situation in the country however with a unemployment rate of only 3.2%.

It is expected that the growthrate will once again grow in the near future as namely the arms manufacturing sector is expanding and doing well for Deltaria with countries like Dundorf and Jakania purchasing record amounts of equipment from the country. Programs like the recent investments in urban infrastructure and a general growth in the technology market are also expected to bump up the growthrate. But despite this forecasts still project that a maximum growthrate of 2% will be reached in the coming years, still a tiny amount short of what is needed to keep up with mounting costs. As of now the government has not announced budget cuts in any form but we may very well see several cuts in the near future unless the government manages to change its odds in the forecasts.

Government announces expansion of economic cooperation in CARSS, new economic plan implemented
Following several economic problems deltaria is facing the country's government has layed out a plan focussing on greater CARSS economic cooperation and increased exports

Following several reports of slight economic downturn and the possibility of the country slipping into a recession the ministry of finance and government as a whole has announced a shift in namely its foreign policy regarding economics. While the state has, for some time, been trying to shift to a more technological focussed economy the central committee and ministry of finance have realised that in order to uphold the mounting military upkeep and ambitious programs of the state the state will need to shift to a manufacturing export economy. Therefor, in a detailed plan released to the public, the government announces the creation of a economic zone between the CARSS nations to be called the CAES (Cooperative Alliance of Economic States). This zone will create a free trade environment between member states in which signatory nations can freely export and import goods without any tarrifs imposed on them. In addition to this signatory nations pledge to aid eachother in times of recession. The Deltarian government hopes to ensure a stable economic environment for all the nations taking part in CARSS.

But this is far from the only measure taken by the government. As said before the goal is to step away from the technological oriented economy of the past years and fully focus on manufacturing and export. The Federal Council has passed a bill earlier this year to subsidize the defense, automotive and manufacturing sectors with over 300 billion DTE over the coming years. The government hopes to greatly increase the production in those sectors and even aims to become the number one weapons exporting nation on terra within the next 10 years. The state is also going to sign bilateral trade agreements with several big nations accross terra to ensure the new goods created from increased production have a market to be sold in.

With this massive program to shift the economy back to a manufacturing and export focussed one the deltarian government expects growth to skyrocket in the coming years. With a optimistic estimate of 6% growth within 3 years. In order to cope with possible inflation the state has already had discussions with the central bank on possibly increasing the interest rates accross the board. Economists suggest that the expected growth the government predicts will not be reached however but do confirm that shifting to such a export focussed economy could cause growth of up to 5.4% which is still a impressive number.

Ministry of Defense resumes Project Němec and T-14 Armata after budgetary delays
With optimism in the economy growing once more the project to construct the first deltarian supercarrier is now resumed

After 2 years of economic difficulty and delays in several military projects as a result the ministry of defense, backed by renewed confidence in the economy and the new economic strategy apparently paying off, has now approved the continuation of 2 major military projects that were halted due to the economic problems. The nuclear powered supercarrier project called Project Němec and the new tank program the T-14 Armata have both been resumed by the ministry.

When the Němec project was halted it was in the late stages of its designing fase meaning that it will only take a limited amount of time before the carrier will be ready on paper to be constructed in addition to its escort ships which were already under construction. Earlier this week rumours were already in the air on the continuation of the program as several photos were leaked of a 3D model of the new Němec carrier. Now those rumours have officially been confirmed.
The ministry did not want to release a exact extimate on when the carrier would be ready but with the docks in Ushalande expanded recently and the design for the massive carrier nearly done experts estimate that it will take between 5 to 7 years for the carrier to be ready for its sea trials.

The T-14 Armata project was already out of its design fase and in the middle of its production. The project was halted with only one tank rolling of the assemblyline. But with the continuation of the program the entire order of 40 tanks will be completed with more orders to follow according to the government.

Deltaria to export 250 T-72 tanks to Dundorf in big military deal
A big military deal with dundorf will see over 250 T-72 tanks and more equipment be shipped to the nation

In the first trade deal benefiting from the CAES no tarrifs zone the government of Deltaria and Dundorf have agreed on a big military deal which will see over 250 T-72 tanks, 10.000 assault rifles, 12.000 secondary weapons and countless rounds of ammunition being exported to Dundorf. While the T-72 tank is one of the older models in the deltarian army it is still a well equipped tank capable of fullfilling the needs of the dundorfian army. Only one deltarian state factory is still producing T-72 tanks but has done so for the past years, with this being the last order the factory will take before switching over to producing T-14 Armata tanks. It is expected that the entire order will take around 4 years to complete.

This recent deal is in line with the new Deltarian economic strategy of increasing production and exports and becoming the leading weapons manufacturing nation in the coming years. The new strategy is already paying off as the economy has seen more growth this year then in the past 2 years with over 3.2% growth reported this year. The deltarian strategy seems to pay off.

Němec carrier construction officially started
4 months after the continuation of the program the design and preparations have all been made as the Němec carrier officially enters its construction fase

Today in a lavish ceremony the minister of defense Samuel Zeman officially gave the order to construction workers to commence the construction fase of the new Němec nuclear powered super carrier, a moment many had waited for. The new carrier will be the ultimate flagship of the deltarian navy, it is the first carrier to be fully designed by Deltaria in cooperation with VALCRY and PRIME and will be one of the if not the largest carriers on the planet with a ton displacement between 90.000 and 100.000 tonnes and capable of carrying over 90 aircraft, almost double the amount of aircraft current deltarian Yegorovich carriers can carry.

In order to protect the massive ship the ministry of defense also ordered the construction of 4 new destroyers, 2 new attack submarines and some additional patrol boats to be in reserve on the ship itself. The ministry of defense confirmed the suspicions of experts on the time it would take to construct the massive carrier, confirming it will take around 7 to 8 years to fully be completed. With most of its protective destroyers and submarines almost entering sea trials already we can expect the new carrier to be ready within the time given by the ministry.

If completed the Němec carrier will be the flagship of the fleet for decades to come and likely be one of the largest carriers on Terra.

IBS arrests 200 party members and 500 government officials in massive anti corruption sweep
President Fiser is increasing his grip on power by arresting 200 prominent party members and even more government officialls

In a operation that was in preparation since the new president took office the IBS today arrested hundreds of party members and government officialls under charges ranging from aledged corruption to treason against the state. The IBS called the operation a "total success" and it is said that during the operation the agency had temporarily denied Deltarian citizens access to the internet in a attempt to stop officialls from knowing about the operation on social media.
In several fases the agency stormed public buildings, private homes and even some military installations. Corruption had been rampant in the government with the growing deltarian economy and booming military generating billions in revenue and millions of jobs, giving government officials the possibility to embezle large amounts of money. With this operation the president and cabinet ministers hope to root out this corruption.

But while the IBS tries to portray this as a anti-corruption operation many political analysts agree that the operation is also a attempt by president Radoslav Fišer to consolidate his grip on both the party and presidency. Likely learning from the fate of his predecessor the president is trying to lose as many rivals as he possibly can to ensure no threat to his rule can emerge.
