But several selucian politicians instead talked outrage on several social media platforms, telling Deltaria to first "shake of its own dictatorial ways"
In response to these comments by prominent selucian politicians and no talks being opened between them and Malivia the deltarian government today announced a comprehensive list of economic and diplomatic sanctions aimed at pressuring selucia into talks with Malivia.
The economic sanctions include a total ban on all goods coming from selucia as well as a total freeze on all selucian financial assets present in Deltaria. In addition to this the deltarian government has also instructed CARSS members (Dundorf, Jakania and Vorona) to do the same in terms of economic sanctions and the deltarian government, as part of its diplomatic sanctions, has put several selucian government officials, including the praetor, on the blacklist, meaning they will not be able to travel to Deltaria until the blacklist is lifted.
But Deltaria is not just using sanctions in response to the inflamatory comments of selucia. The ministry of defense under direct order of the president has moved Deltarian carrier strike group one consisting of a Yegorovich carrier, 2 Yasen submarines, 2 frigates and 4 destroyers towards selucian waters. The strike group has reportedly halted just miles outside of selucian national waters and has been conducting regular patrols around selucia itself. While the government states that this action was planned months before many believe it is a show of force and yet another way of pressuring Selucia in opening talks with Malivia.
Economists predict that the selucian economy will take a minor hit from the economic sanctions.
