ELECTIONS AT MAY, 4761

NEW NAGO, NEW NAGO REGION - The elections continued in New Nago Region, where is 2,368,912 people and 1,654,321 citizen-who-elector. Gayan Banda re-elected to Regional Clerk with the 78% of the votes, his challenger was Goonathilake Jagath from the Freedom Party who only got the 22% of the votes. In the strongly left-wing region, the socialist Anti-Fascist Action won again, it got 59 seats, while the Merchant and Liberal Party got 15, the Golden Republican Party got 14 and the Freedom Party got 12 seats. Local government formed by the Anti-Fascist Action, of course.

ELECTIONS AT JUNE, 4761

DATUNGU, DATUNGU REGION - The last regional election was at Datungu Region, where is 2,551,584, and from this 1,800,654 citizen-who-elector. Sathie Jayawickrama, the golden republican Regional Clerk of Datungu re-elected to its position without challenger. In this pluralist region the Golden Republican Party won with 30% (first time in its history) and it got 30 seats. The second party was the Anti-Fascist Action with 25 seat, the third was the Freedom Party with 24 seats and the last was the Merchant and Liberal with 21 seat. Local government formed by the golden republicans and merchant-liberals.

NATIONAL RESULT OF THE 4761 ELECTIONS

RAPA PILE - Based on the national results of the 4761 Elections in Rapa Pile, the socialistic Anti-Fascist Action won the election with 47,5%, and it got 382 seats in the Meeting Majority. The second party was the capitalist and centrist Merchant and Liberal Party what got the 27,25% of the votes and with it 218 seats in the lower house of the legislature. The third was the moderate right-wing and status quo representative Golden Republican Party with 15% and 120 seats, while the last wast the ultra-conservative Freedom Party with 10% and 80 seats. Institution of Deciders (Government) formed by the Anti-Fascist Action and Merchant and Liberal Party just like the last time, but now in a different composition.

In this election the merchant-liberals and Freedom Party had a bad result, because the Walpola-affair (his son died and the people accused Nihil Jayatilleka with it). And about the Triumvirate, Nihil Jayatilleka and Madushan Dutugemunu probably will stay, but Sovis Walpola not. The Meeting of Merchants selected in July, 4761, the five richest member still stay in their position, but Gunith Rathnayake ahead Sachini Guruge in the 4. and 5. places.

TRIUMVIRATE APPOINTED AT JULY, 4761

RAPA, RAPA REGION - At July, 4761, the legislature, both the Meeting of Majority and Meeting of Merchants appointed the second Triumvirate in the history of Rapa Pile. Nihil Jayatilleka (Merchant and Liberal Party) and Madushan Dutugemunu (Anti-Fascist Action) stayed, and Randika Moonesinghe (Golden Republican Party) replaced the former triumvir Sovis Walpola. In the Meeting of Majority there was 720 votes for this Triumvirate, and 80 against it. In the Meeting of Merchants there was 62 votes for it and 18 votes against it.

His Elected Illustrious Citizen Nihil Jayatilleka will be the Clerk of the Republic, Her Elected Illustrious Citizen Dutugemunu will be the Clerk of Public Affairs, Her Elected Illustrious Citizen Randika Moonesinghe will be the Clerk of the Military.

The Meeting of Majority and Meeting of Merchants voted emergency powers to the Clerk of the Republic Nihil Jayatilleka before the elections, in April, 4771. In December, 4769, the Golden Republic announced that it will support the People's Republic of Keymon with the rest of the Armed Forces of the Golden Republic of Rapa Pile. 20 000 soldiers (mostly pirates) went to Keymon to help the republicans against the monarchist Queen Éva and King Carlu.
