I'd like to take over Istapali.

Basically, I'd like to rp the gradual transition into a Soviet-style leftist dictatorship. This would begin with leftists parties winning elections and implementing divisive policies, which would prompt a military coup which would be countered by a general revolution by socialists, anarchists, and communists. The revolution wouldn't last long, with the leftists quickly overpowering the military (Which would be rife with desertion to the revolution) and the occupation of the major cities. The military and rightist militants would continue a minor guerrilla campaign against the revolutionary government, but would ultimately prove to be nothing more than a nuisance.

After the revolution, I plan to focus mainly on economic development rp, with particular a focus on manufacturing and oil extraction industries. I'd also like to build up the Istapalian military into a more than formidable force, and to turn Istapali into a significant force of non-alignment on the international stage.

I'm not quite sure that Istapali would be the spot for this. Istapali is generally considered to be the "stable" East Dovani country and I would prefer that the motif and vibe remains. Is there perhaps somewhere else that might be better for this in the general vicinity?

I'm not quite sure that Istapali would be the spot for this. Istapali is generally considered to be the "stable" East Dovani country and I would prefer that the motif and vibe remains. Is there perhaps somewhere else that might be better for this in the general vicinity?

Can I request Suyu Llaqta.

I would like to RP the election of an ex-military General as President. He tries to hinder democracy by passing bill to allow him to bypass the Federal Assembly, and being corrupt and bribed. He also passes bills in favour of Dundorfian people, and bills that would disadvantage the Kitembo, which leads to protests

To stop violence he appoints a popular PM (from a party called National Progress), but after this he still is not popular. Federal Assembly passes (non-binding) vote of no confidence in him, so President resigns and runs in ensuing election to try and prove popularity.

The (ex-miltary General) President loses to a Socialist candidate, who appoints the National Progress PM and enters into coalition with National Progress. That government passes reforms to the police (popular) and the Army (not as popular). There is an attempted coup by nationalist right-wing Kitembo army officers who say the Government is not doing enough for the Kitembo.

Basically it will be a surge in riots, and a succession of weak-ish coalition Governments that try and stabilise. There will also be military RP about the PM and President's struggle to make the military more accountable, and maybe tensions with other countries if other players are interested...
