A cultural protocol update for Talmoria.

Approved. I'll add it to the register when I can access my desktop.

Given our attempts to rectify the issues with cultural protocols and recognising that there are no changes in this case, we're happy to waive the usual 48 hour period before approval can be granted. Approved.

Please ensure you post a clearly titled bill in the debate section with the new cultural protocol and that it links to the original bill as it was passed as well as this Moderation approval.

The only real change is the introduction of Siphinians (Albanians).

This would update the cultural protocol of a culturally protected country. As per the Game Rules, there will now be a 48 hour period for players to offer comment on the proposal before it can be approved.

Cultural Protocols for Cobura. No changes.

The bill passed here is different from the Cultural Protocol linked in the Index but I understand that it is the same as the one currently sitting in the debate section. Taking a quick look it seems there have been at least two passed Cultural Protcols since the one in the Index. I don't know what exactly has happened in the interim period or why the Index is so outdated but the easiest and fairest thing to do seems to be to treat this as an update. Per the Game Rules, we must now wait 48 hours before the update can be approved.

Since this already has Moderation approval, this will start the 48 hour comment period.

Apologies for the delay, a few small notes and queries on this cultural protocol update. At a couple of points it makes reference to Kafuristan's international position (i.e. "widely considered to be the world’s leading producer of oil and petroleum products" and "has attained similar status to Saudi Arabia/Egypt in terms of political, economic and military power"). In general it would be better to avoid these types of statements since they are likely to become outdated and may confuse future players in the country.

The demographic changes appear fine to me although there are a few in-game terms that aren't fully explained. The most notable of these being the "Irqebal Siphinian" language. I am going to assume that this is supposed to be Albanian based on context but it should probably be stated. Augustans, Kalopians, Solentians, Istalians, Deltarians and Dorvish are also mentioned without any explanation. Another point to consider is whether it is necessary to have such specific figures: for example 9.05% of the population being "Kafuri Bedwi" and 0.2% being "Kalopian Siphinian".

As a side note, Albanians are mentioned in the cultural protocols of Jakania and Kalopia, where the in-game equivalent is "Siphinan" (without the third "i"). There is nothing to stop you using the alternative term but it does seem it might be confusing. I'm not sure that any of these issues are notable enough on their own to withhold approval for the cultural protocol. However given that there are a few things that can be fixed relatively easily, I would recommend that you pass another version that addresses these problems.
