Moderator: RP Committee
With the utmost respect the our Vascanian friends, Liore will also stand in this race. Vascania has served as long as a noble representative of us downtrodden nations of Terra, however Liore is of the opinion that representation of the third world must not be limited to solely by the most powerful among us.
To the credit of my nation, may I bring attention to Liore's championing of the cause of national sovereignty and of the people of Terra to do as they please without the intervention of bodies unelected by the common man, specifically I'll recall our opposition to the interference of the multinational 3M into the national affairs of Medina, our support for the proposition to end the World's Congress' imperialistic tool called "peacekeepers," and our vocal support for the reformation of this body into one of equals by ending the ability to veto Security Council resolutions by great powers.
The seat is open only to forum-based countries (otherwise known as the "Third World"). The discussions and elections are entirely out-of-character and should be conducted as such. Players who wish for their countries to stand in the elections should indicate in this thread by the end of the 25 August at the very latest. Players taking part in the election (either voting or standing as candidates) must have made at least one substantive post in the month during which the election takes place
If there is more than one country that wishes to stand, controllers should attempt to discuss among themselves who should be elected in out-of-character terms. Discussion of this kind can happen prior to the deadline for nominating yourself. If no conclusion has been reached by the end of the day on 28 August then we will have a vote. I'll confirm the details of such a vote if and when we reach that point.
We will vote for Liore actually now. Sorry.
We applaud Kimlien for changing their vote to Liore given the recent bullying of our country by Vascania due to our challenge for this seat. We thank you deeply for your reconsideration.
