An allied commitment to regional stability in Majatra
August 5338 - The arrival of the Second Royal Fleet comes in a series of "moves" by the Medinat Department in working with its allies towards regional stability, following the joint operations with the Dorvish navy in the Migrant's Pass and Kundrati's deployment of defensive forces in the West Bank
- Yishelem commends Kasaema in its latest strategic repositioning of its northern coasts, citing how "Kundrati is steadily ascending"
- Medinat Department consults with officials from the Cildanian political arena on the latest "rise of turbulence" in the country: "25 Guarder tracks are not enough"
Himmelshtern, Beiteynu - The Head of the Kohav joined the Naval Chief of the Beiteynuese Naval Command in Himmelshtern this morning to announce the arrival of the Lourennais fleet, which is to be based in the Lekavot Naval Base in the Himmelshtern Beacon of Hope - the island north to the city and a traditional base of operations and excursion exercises for both the Lekavot Fleet and the Beiteynuese Defense Force's special units in general. The announcement hit the Lourennais media back at the beginning of the year, as the Royal Ministry of International Affairs sought to consolidate the Beiteynuese - Lourennais alliance shortly after the Medinat Department had consulted with the Lourennais and Dorvish Governments on the "troubles" reported in the Jelbek Peninsula, mainly stemming from the disturbance in Barmenistan south of the border and the increase of tensions with the Zardic Federation which have recently spilled over to the Majatran Security Cooperation Organisation (MSCO) in discussions involving both parties as well as the Cildanian Government. The Head of the Kohav welcomed Lourennais forces under the guidance of the agreement and briefly echoed the position of the Medinat Department in securing the stability of Majatra with the help of Yishelem's "pragmatic allies who understand our values of loyalty", also thanking both the Dorvish and Kundrati Governments for their assistance.
The Second Royal Fleet is consisted of 14 high-end warships accompanied by the noticeable military expertise of over 5.000 troops of the Royal Navy. While the SRF will remain independent in its operations and work directly with the BNC's chain of command in Himmelshtern - a decision justified by the Kohav on the merits of "confidence coming from experience and seriousness" - both fleets will conduct several exercises throughout the next 2.5 years, to assist both forces in familiarising themselves in joint operations as well as enhance the Lekavot Fleet's defensive mandate in protecting the local region in case of attack and securing maritime trade routes between the country's southwest and northeast shorelines (West and North Banks respectively).
The Beiteynuese Naval Command has petitioned the Kohav in exploring potential expansion plans of the base's northwestern stations, citing how the increased presence of additional warships has placed a strain on the logistics of the Lekavot Fleet. The Ministry of Defence has denied the petition as part of its "period of ease" in expanding Beiteynu's military forces, after the Central Bank of Beiteynu warned the Beiteynuese Government of a risk in obfuscating government debt beyond its fiscal limitations, referencing how the recently opened up commercial avenues in Artania and Seleya have yet to bare the desired fruits of economic growth after a 13 year recession and an energy crisis from the fallout of Trigunian and Keris relations.
