The power vacuum in Jakania has led to different militias as well as different factions of the army to try to seize control of different areas of the country.

For this reason, the National Assembly has agreed on an emergency cabinet formed by all political forces, with Hadi Yılmaz as Prime Minister. The most radical factions of the People's Opposition and the Fatherland Movement parties have not accepted this, joining the militias in order to take the power with the force, in what is escalating into a civil war!

Jamaat al-Tawba has successfully seized the control of two different areas of the country. Its success is also due to the many units made of ethnic minorities, such as majatran units which where decisive in taking the control of the cities of Brahlimanı and Tașestan. The group also controlls the east of the Haftiye and Bukayar, where it controls the city of Mehmediye and is currently fighting the Turjakistaniani Army within the city of Dar I Akim. The positions held now give it the very strategically usefull possibility to control all passes to both Kalopia and Cobura, where sympathising groups are. Its goal is to establish a theocratic Ahmadist state in Jakania as well as in neighbouting nations.

The army of Turjakistan is made of nationalist ahmadists of Turjak ethnicity. Their goal is to establish Turjakistan, an ethnostate for Turjaks only. Supported by some old generals, they control two vast areas, one compraising Bukayar west of the Daressa river and the Razarcık region in the south (from which they are launching an offensive aimed at the capital), the other being equivalent to north-eastern Bureniye and northern Sonat.

In Northern Akadası, Kalopian speaking people have established the provisional state of Nilaka. Their immediate goal is to defend themselves by Turjak nationalists, but in the long run they plan also establish a new independent country, ot to become a Kalopian exclave.

Along the southern coast of Sonat and Akadası, the multi-ethnic People's Units took the control fighting other groups. They have an anticapitalist, feminist and stronlgy libertarian ideology, as their goal is to establish Pananarchy, described as a "system without a system" in which loosely connected autonomous communities self-organise in a decentralised way. It does not oppose directly nationalism or totalitarian ahmadism, as such communities are also part of its "system", it just opposes such political systems when they become mandatory for everyone residing in a territory, but single communities might adopt the laws or religious norms they commonly choose.

The official army of Jakania, very much in trouble, only keeps control of the heavily militarised Dokuz-Mesul area and of central Akadası.

Every faction is currenlty looking for international allies, support and/or recognition, and Jakania could soon become the chessboard of internatioanl powers, or even escalate into an international conflict. Pontesi could probably support the establishment of Turjakistan, given the similar nationalist ideology the two share and the fact that Pontesi wants allies and to expand its sphere of influence in Majatra.

Another decisive player in the opposite direction can be Kalopia, whose government strongly oppose Turjak nationalism. Kalopia could very well support the Nilakan rebels due to cultural affinity, by sending arms and perhaps also sending volunteers. Doing so, it would need to make a deal with Deltaria to reach the Nilakans from its southern borner. Kalopia, unlike Pontesi, has a multi-party system, and different parties might want to support different factions. Anipotaki Aristera might have a preference for supporting the left-wing libertarian effort in İmir and nearby towns, while Kalosimat is more ideologically close to the official government in Dokuz. On the other hand, the Ahmadi Democratic Alternative might also want to support Jamaat's Kalopian speaking militias along the Kalopian-Jakanian border, securing it.

Jakanian Armed Forces surrender in Nişkek, situation deteriorates quickly



After exactly 10 years of conflict, the gridlock has come to an end. The situation has escalated quickly in the last months and can rapidly change.
In late October 5536, the regular Jakanian Army was tremendously suffering from lack of supplies, drinking water and ammunition. For this reason they surrendered the 26th of October. Regular Jakanian forces currently control only the banks of the lower Daressa River. They are under constant siege by Jamaat al-Tawba militias in the east and by troops of the self-proclaimed state of Turjakistan in the west.

Jamaat al-Tawba has captured the city of Dar i Akim, but is struggling to find international support. Some lone wolves affiliated with the group have planned terrorist attacks in countries who have incresed their military presence in the region. Mordusia and Beiteynu are often indicated by Jamaat has hostile foreign forces who are threatening the interests of Ahmadists in southern Majatra. Foreign fighters mostly from Kalopia and Solentia, but also from Badara, Kafuristan, Cobura, Istalia and Deltaria have been reported to have joined the militias. Since Deltaria has forbidden people associated with the group to enter its borders, the country has been included in Jamaat al-Tawba's red list, and its militias have contucted several attacks on the Deltarian Army patrolling the border north of Mehmediye since November 5536. As Kalopia has yet to take a position of the group, no hostilities have been recorded along the Kalopian-Deltarian border.
Several NGOs, including the Human Rights Foundation, have reported human right abuses in the two areas of the country currenlty controlled of Jamaat, called "Ahmadist State". Amputation of the hand is the penalty for theft, death is that for sodomy. In south-western Bureniye, a "moral police" would force women to cover their faces and not leave their houses unaccompanied, excapt for cases of proven necessity.

The self-proclaimed state of "Nilaiki Dimokratia" has expanded quikly thanks to supplies from Deltarian based Undergruound. The official headquarter have been moved to Nişkek, renamed Nilakoupolis and proclaimed their capitals.
The Nilakan army has discovered a mass graves a few kilometers east of Karataşı, and they have accused the Army of Turjakistan of genocide, asking the international community (especially Deltaria and Kalopia) to intervene in their favour to eradicate Turjakistan.
The government of Nilaka have entered into a non-aggression pact with the People's Units. Both organisations are considered illegitimate by the legitimate Jakanian governments. The People's Units, controlling a vast area along the coast, have been busy fighting the regular Jakanian Army, Jamaat and the Army of Turjakistan. Thier fiercest enemy however has been famine. With no food supplies coming from the interior, the mostly urban population along the coast has converted parks into vegetable gardens and abandoned buildings into greenhouses and algae or fungi farms. They call themselves "People's Communities" and although they are at peace with the Nilakans, they criticise their centralised state-like organisation, as well as the supposed privileges Kalopian, Delic, Siphinian and Majatran people have inside its governing apparatus.

As the situation deteriorates, the official government of Jakania is asking for help to the international community, both on field and also in the case of a relocation of the government in exile if Dokuz falls.
