Turjakistan accused of more crimes against humanity. The Jakanian Armed Forces retreat from Dokuz

Since the city of Kerataşı has fallen to Nilakan forces (27 February) more mass graves around the city have been found. Kalopian inspectors have just confirmed Nilakan accusations. The victims are mostly Delic, Kalopian and Majatran civilians who have been massacred before the Turjak army's retreat.

Today Dokuz has fallen to Jamaat militias. The government has been dissolved and evacuated to Mesul. They will escape to Deltaria where they would get asylum. Mesul is currently under siege, the Jakanian army intends to complete the evacuation before surrendering. This is our last official war bulletin.

ONE YEAR AFTER THE FALL OF JAKANIA: A WORSENING CONFLICT

One year after the fall of Dokuz, al-Deena's war correspondent Sarah Abu Akleh helps us understand how the Jakanian conflict is unfolding

With the surrender of the Jakanian Armed Forces, we have been left without official updates about the situation in what was once called "Jakania". What we know for sure is that Nilaka's army of kalopian-speaking separatists is expanding west of Karadaşı city, and ahmadist fundamentalists of Jamaat al-Tawba are expanding both in- and outside of Jakania. In the meantime Turjakistan, the ethno-state of Turjak suprematists, is suffering losses, crushed between the other factions.

Jamaat has defeated the Jakanian Armed Forces and taken Dokuz the 1st of November 5537. The city of Mesul has surrendered the 4th of November, after the govermament fled to Deltaria, where they slowly started to operate as a government in exile, hoping to return to Jakania once the conflict is over. But we are far from it.

Jamaat has declared victory over its number one target: the Jakanian State. Now that it has fallen, ahmadists intend to expand west from the newly conquered capital Dokuz, but this isn't going as smoothly as planned, as both Nilaka and the libertarian People's Communities are supported by Deltaria and Kalopia. Jamaat's red list of targets include also Deltaria, Beiteynu, Mordusia and recently also Solentia.

The Ahmadist State is now growing also outside Jakania, precisely in the Wilayats of Saspain and Caistra, in the eastern Majatran nation of Solentia. Many foreign fighters in Jakania come from this region. Armed groups are forming in western Solentia, as they wish to take the power by force. The country has turned left last year when labour organiser Ikramullah Yousafzai won the elections with his newly formed Revolutionary Communist Party. A now very likely armed conflict between Jamaat and the leftist Solentian government could transform the Jakanian civil war in a full-scale continental conflict in Majatra.

WAR IN JAKANIA CONTINUES

As planned, Jamaat al-Tawba has continued fighting against the People's Revolutionary Guard Corps, the newly reformed Solentian Army, for the whole year. After its "Ahmadist State" reached its peak of territorial expansion in spring, a period of severe losses started with the summer as the reorganisation of the Solentian armed forces has progressed with the help of Deltaria. After several attacks and threats, the latter has also launched an offensive from its south-eastern border, thus worsening the situation of the Ahmadist State and halting its expansion in Jakania.



Jamaat has deposed all of its former leading figures to formally establish Ismaíl Kazazis as "Caliph of the Ahmadist State in Majatra" from August 14. Perhaps they hope that a more centralised organisation, centered around a caliph and his advisors, might help reverse the territorial losses.

In the meantime, Deltaria is trying to mediate a peace deal between Nilaka and the People's Communities, and Turjakistan. This won't be easy as they are still fiercely fighting and there is no way for a compromise in sight, but a temporary ceasefire might help them to focus on fighting the Ahmadist State and free the city of Dokuz.

A BROAD FRONT AGAINST THE AHMADIST STATE
1 November 5541

Al-Deena's war correspondent Sarah Abu Akleh on the ongoing Jakanian and Solentian conflict:

 The beginning of the siege of the city of Ganşehir conducted by Jamaat al-Tawba's militias since October 5539 has made Turjakistan more likely to accept an alliance with the People's Communities and Nilaka. In order to close these fronts and to be able to focus just on resisting the Ahmadist State, Turjakistani leaders have signed a deal which has been labled by Jakanians as "the Broad Front". This has come just on time since Jamaat has started to spread also into northern Buraniye and Sonat.

The deal of this anti-Jamaat Broad Front, concluded the 29th of November 5540, signed by Nilaka, the People's Communities, Turjakistan, Solentia, Deltaria and Trigunia, plans a military cooperation in order to defeat the Ahmadist State once and for all.

The deal includes also a partition plan for post war Jakania. The parts agreed to recognise the independence of Nilaka, the establishment of West and East Turjakistan, a population exchange between these, and an expansion of the People's Communities to include also the area of the lower Daressa river, where the cities of Dokuz and Mesul are. For the eastern lands, a referendum will be held, to decide if the population wants to join the People's Communities, to organise a state for the mostly Kalopian population following the example of Nilaka, or to ask Kalopia for annexation.

According to the plan, Deltarian and Trigunian forces have entered the region of Bureniye from the north to fight alongside the army of Turjakistan. 

Since January 5541, a new offensive from the Solentian Liberation Army, with the aid of arms from Deltaria and Trigunia, has pushed into the Solentian territory occupied by the local branch of the Ahmadist State. This is supported mainly by the Ashker ethnic minority, for this reason the government of Solentia might garant some form of autonomy to the group, a move which could further undermine the position of Jamaat in Solentia.

In February 5541, Trigunian soldiers landed in the city of İmir to join the People's Units (the army of the People's Communities) in order to push into Bureniye also from the south.

In the following months, Trigunian troops have joined Deltaria in its efforts to eradicate Jamaat from the Mehmediye region.

JAMAAT RETREATS, THE SIEGE OF DOKUZ BEGINNS

The situation for the Ahmadist State is only getting worse.

The cities of Mehmediye and Rınası have fallen the 1st and 13rd of May 5542 respectively. By July the Broad Front ultimated the liberation of Burenye and Sonat, therefore all troops have been moved to the western regions, where Jamaat al-Tawba struggles to keep the land.

The 17th of August, the Trigunian Naval Infantry and the People's Units entered the city of Mesul. After months of famine and repression, people have celebrated the retreat of Jamaat's soldiers .

One month after, all area around the capital has been surrounded. Kundrati has joined the Broad Front and is also fighting on field for the liberation of Dokuz. Jamaat's units are now resisting inside the capital and in small pockets within Solentia, where Ashkers' support is declining after the Solentian government garanted them partial autonomy in March.

We are still waiting for further information on the situation in Dokuz, and the status of Jamaat al-Tawba's affiliated militias in Solentia is still unclear, but the general belief is that, after more than 15 years of suffering and instability, peace might be coming back in Majatra.
