Czar Miloš II on his deathbed, surrounded by monks and nobles
The Czar and Autocrat of Deltaria, Miloš the Second, has fallen ill due to unknown causes. As the Czar was occupied with one of his female visitors, he collapsed on the floor in the midst of uncontrollable fits. The Czar was quickly transported to a monastic hospital in Tsargrad, where the doctors were unable to determine his illness. In a brief moment of lucidity, the Czar participated in a public confession of his sins in the Wenceslas Square of the Capital, against the recommendations of his doctors. There the Czar admitted to some of his worst crimes, including killing cats and dogs by throwing them out the Palace walls, raping young women, and sending his dogmen to dispose of the victims and their families. Throughout his illness, the Czar has been showing signs of delusion and intense hallucinations, combined with an unexpected religious fervor. The Czar had been throwing himself in front of icons and banging his head against the floor, resulting in a severe injury to his forehead. On the 24th of June, feeling that his life was about to end, the Czar called for an assembly of the nobility and clergy of Deltaria, and urged them to accept his infant son, Iván, as the future Czar. The assembly declined.
A few days later, the Czar fell unconscious. According to his last wishes, he was given monastic tonsure as Brother Mikhail while lying on his deathbed. Now the whole nation awaits to see what will happen once Miloš passes away, in the midst of one of the worst political crises in Deltarian history.
