Conservatives make inroads in Nuchtmark
July 3629

Chromide, Nuchtmark - Kirlawan Conservatives today celebrated after making inroads in the south-eastern province of Nuchtmark. The party won 13 seats there in elections to the General Assembly. The party, which was established just over a year before the election, declared that it was "reasonably optimistic" about its election performance.

Party leader, Greg Shields, declared that he was "very happy that the Conservative message was heard, especially in Nuchtmark", but acknowledged that the election came too soon after his party's establishment. "While today we will be celebrating after winning 13 seats we can't really take anything from this result because we know we have 42 long months to work very, very hard towards winning a Conservative majority".

However, Michael Herschel, the party's regional leader of the Nuchtmark branch and Environment and Tourism spokesperson said that the result showed that "the Conservatives have a bright future ahead". He added, "we didn't have much time to get our act together or to get our message across. However, the people of Nuchtmark showed faith in us and I feel that in the next election, if we work hard and get our message out to people then we have a very strong chance of becoming a significant party in 3633."

The party also announced that its presidential candidate, Betty Williams, will stand again for them in 3633. "I am delighted that Greg personally asked for me to stand as the Conservative candidate again in 3633 and will be working very hard for the next 4 years", she said. Mrs Williams performed marginally better than her party after taking 2.29% of the votes in the presidential election compared to the 2.02% won by the parliamentary party.

The Kirlawan Conservatives are set to put forward a number of bills before the General Assembly in a bid to get their message across to people. Mr Shields hinted that he would be focusing heavily on economic reforms which would seek to boost businesses, increase employment, and raise wages, and that the party would also attempt to abolish Kirlawa's arsenal of chemical and biological weapons.

Kirlawa Considering Helping in Davostag

Image
Kirlawan General Assembly Sitting Down at the Start of the "Situation in Davostag" Debate put forth by the Kirlawa Liberal Party

The current potentiality of a civil war in Davostag is getting more and more likely with no compromises between the government and the opposition currently. Kirlawa is now considering helping out by accepting and funding programmes run by the Kirlawan Military to bring refugees from Davostag over to Kirlawa. There will most likely be some opposition to this, by the parties that are Pro-Isilation. Lauren Bython, current leader of the Kirlawa Liberal Party and past President of Kirlawa said today "We will most likely work something out that everyone agrees on, it will most likely not be military action but that is on the table as well". If Kirlawa does take military action it will most likely be to support the Monarchists who are currently being executed by opposition party paramilitaries.

Gaduridos and Hutori are also considering military intervention. Gaduridos currently has a motion forth to support the opposition who is killing monarchists and Hutori has not stated their position.

Lauren Bython Elected President

Image
Bython with her husband and her campaign managers after her Presidency Win

December 3720

Lauren Byhton has won the presidency of Kirlawa for the second time. The past KLP leader was very happy and enthusiastic after her win. Bython ran a very rough less campaign and recived the VVR's support right from the start, she was the most likeable candidate in the race but not the one favoured to win, the IULP's candidate Janice De'Blair who was fully endorsed by the KNFA and the KPJP.

In the first round she came out in second about 8 Million votes behind the IULP's Janice De'Blair, while the GPK's incumbent president Flora Forrest finnished 3rd ending her incumbency and the Newly reformed DFM's Peter Wereman finished 4th. In the second round she came out on top gaining the support of the GPK, she received roughly 1 Million votes more than De'Blair, much of a gap than her last presidency win when she finished 16 Million votes ahead the KNFA's Rita Water.

Bython is hoping to bring Kirlawa closer to other nations and is fiercely internationalist. She says she wishes to privatize healthcare but to subsidize the cost for all citizens that way the government does not have to pay for hospitals and can leave the construction of them in the hands of the private sector. She us a supporter of nuclear weapon use and wishes to make their use legal in dire circumstances. Bython is especially excited for her first question period.

Polls show that Bythons approval rating has increased since being elected from 54% to 68% a 12% increase.

Corporate Taxes Now at 0!!

Image
An image of Indrala's Financial District the heart of Kirlawas Commerce Market

March 3725

The General Assembly in Indrala has just recently passed a bill lowering the corporate taxes to 0%.

The bill was proposed by the Kirlawa Liberal Party which is the pilot party for the 0% corporate tax rate and included it in there last election platform, they needed up gaining 37 seats. Cody McKinning the leader of the Kirlawa Liberal a Party spoke to us, this is what he said,

Kirlawa has waited a long time for no tax on businesses and it has finally happened!
We are very excited to see where this goes and are eager to see how well it does in Kirlawa. It has been implemented in Aloria and many businesses have migrated there because of it. We hope to see many new business come to Kirlawa I'm the next few years and many more small scale businesses opening up internally.

Many businesses are excited as well, this is what the CEO of Kirlawa based Federation Bank Kirlawas largest bank had to say,

This will bring out much more competition in all industries and will help business grow we thank the Kirlawa Liberals for thinking about the businesses something not many parties tend to do.

Not many people though agree with the proposal 3 parties voted against it, the Kirlawan People's Justice Party, The a Interracial and United Left Party & The Kirlawa Future Alliance. They did not choose to speak with us at this time, but we were able to contact a Uwkahan Labor Activist here is what he had to say,

Kirlawa has already been abused by the rights in the past 50 years, and now they have caused total anarchy in the business industry which is insane. This abolishment of corporate taxes will just lead to more trouble not less.

So will this bill help Kirlawa grow into a Fiscal superpower or will this shove Kirlawa to the bottom of the commerce ladder, only time will tell.

Uh Owe! No Boarder Controls?

April 3726

Many immigrants from Dundorf, Dorvik, Kundrati & Aloria are now freely crossing our boarders with no restrictions. Many people are very skeptic about this and do not want to see it happening to Kirlawa currently considered a stable country. Many people say that after the Free Boarders Plan headed by the IULP is fully activated Kirlawa could turn into a nation of refugees not Kirlawans.

Many more bids since this time have been made to re-secure Kirlawas boarders and make sure not everyone gets in, such as the Common Sense Plan headed by the KLP which will impose minimal boarder checks and enforce a law not to actively such for illegal aliens but expel them when found. We were able to get a hold of the Liberal Parties deputy leader Jake Howford this is what he had to say,

It is not right and not fair for the people of Kirlawa to have their jobs and their homes and their land taken by people who are not in this country legally but the current parties that supported this bill do not think that this will truly destroy Kirlawa. But it is only a matter of time before it crumbles under this legislation, we need some form of law and some form of order.

Now many other groups have different opinions, they believe that too many refugees get denied by other countries and that Kirlawa is the shoulder that they can lean on. We were able to catch up with Daniel Weather a Lawyer and internationalist.

Kirlawa for far to long has been subject to isolation it is time to open us up to the world and introduce all cultures into Kirlawa.

We conducted a poll that shows over 60% of Kirlawans do not support the implemented peice of legislation, here were the poll results,

Support for the Legislation, 32%
Oppose the legislation, 64%
Undecided, 6%

Many Kirlawans Join TFL

Image
Kirlawans Celebrating and supporting the TFL in Kirlawas Capital Indrala

September 3727

Over 200,000 Kirlawans have already attended TFL rallies in support of international freedom and liberty and in opposition to Vanuku and their allies and in opposition of the poor treatment of Hosians in Lodamun. There were rallies held in over 50 Kirlawan Towns and cities over the past week in support of the TFL, Kirlawans membership is projected to reach 1 Million by next year.

Many influential people were at certain rallies like Kirlawa Liberal Party leader Cody McKinning spoke at a rally in his home province, Dirguzia. Many other people spoke at rallies including Liberal Party deputy leader, many business leaders and many politicians from many Kirlawan Regional, Provincial and National parties. Kirlawans are very invested in Freedom and are willing to intervene in nations who wish to strip people of their rights unlike many parties who are currently mis-representing them.

Here is what Kirlawa Liberal Party Leader Cody McKinning had to say in Cadoria, Dirguzia Province,
Kirlawans have stood by for far too long,
Waiting for issues to solve them selves or for other people to clean them up. We no longer can stand by and and wait for things that will never happen to much has happened for us to forget.

It shocked me that it takes major events for other parties to intervene and it shocks me that other parties are not willing to defend the rights of the people of Terra, who are currently miss-represented in nations like Lodamun, Davostag and many others. We have open our arms to them but we can do much more to help so why aren't we?

The Kirlawa Liberal a party is currently the only party who supports the TFL and who supports giving the people who don't have voices a voice.

Kirlawa Liberals & Kirlawans Helping Zardics

Image
Kirlawan Troops Exercising a training mission before heading to Zardugal

September 3727

Many members of the Kirlawan military have volunteered to help with efforts in Zardugal. The government has decided not to officially back the Zards but the Kirlawa Liberals have and have now started to volunteer under them to go and help bring peace in majatra. Many Kirlawans belive that the Vanukuians are at fault and they are the reason why the war started when they sank a Zardic ship with no warning, before war had even been declared. Vanuku has also in recent years been very restrictive towards their citizens stripping there freedoms at the cost of their expense.

Here is a look at what has been mobilized,
Kirlawan National Orange Unit
-Gen. Samuel Miller
-2,000 Troops
-2 Transport Ships

Kirlawan National Blue Unit
-Gen. Andrew McClair
-4,000 Troops
-2 Transport Ships

Kirlawans troops shall act as an independent force but take command from the Zardics for what they should be used for and where the two units shall go and what the shall help with. Kirlawan troops are to be in Zardugal by October.

Cody McKinning Released a statement saying,
The Bravery of these soldiers is unbelievable, they are in our prayers and in our hearts.

Kirlawan Paramilitaries Enter Selucia

Image
Kirlawan Transport Ships Entering Selucian Waters, with 40,000 Kirlawan paramilitary troops onboard.

December 3727,

Roughly 6,000 Kirlawan paramilitary troops have arrived in Selucia on transport ships to help bring the majatra war to an end. Many of the military troops that signed up under the Kirlawa Liberals newly formed paramilitary did so because they believe that Kirlawa is not doing enough to end this war.

Once the arrive in Selucia they will be meaning up with Zardic & Selucian troops and then receive their first mission. All of the soldiers that have been sent are highly trained and have had military training experience. There are two units that have been sent, the Kirlawa National Blue Unit, (2,000 Troops) Lead by Andrew McClair and the Kirlawa National Orange Unit, (4,000 Troops) Lead by Samuel Miller.

They arrived a few day ago in Selucia and will be reviving or adders from there.

OOC: i ask that the amount of support for the TFL be brought down absent a declaration of war from Kirlawa as there is no prior RP justification for such moves. Love the support but we are aiming for realism here.
