War with Indrala
Sekowan troops in Statrica
Tensions between Sekowo and Indrala finally reached their boiling point, turning into a full-fledged war. With Indrala engaged in the War of the Tripartite Alliance, the Imperial Armed Forces of Sekowo have launched a surprise attack on Indralan colonial holdings in Statrica and Teoitan on the 2nd of January, 3729, 03:00 hours WDT (West Dovani Time), one hour after the official declaration of war was passed by the Kokkai in a secret motion. The declaration of war cites Indralan sponsorship of the terrorist anti-Ishida Tōhōkai organization, the Indralan support for the decolonization movement, its rule over former Sekowan colonies, and the alleged Indralan violation of the terms of the Treaty of Port Tackstov as the causes of belligerence. This declaration of war comes after decades of significant tensions between the two nations. Indrala frequently supported a number of anti-Ishida political organizations in Sekowo, be they Republican, Communist, Theocratic, or Orinco Nationalist, all with the goal of ending the Sekowan colonial empire, while Sekowo condemned Indralan actions several times in the past, and the ultra-loyalist and anti-Indralan Teiseitō remains a central player in Sekowan politics.
The invasion of Statrica and Teoitan is conducted by two of Sekowo's three Army Groups. The Argos Army, under command of General Jicchaku Hikaru and comprised of 213,000 troops, is in charge of invading Statrica from the Sekowan homeland and Argos, while the Southern Expeditionary Army, commanded by General Kanegusuku Kawaguchi and formed of 145,000 troops, is tasked with invading Teoitan from south Argos. General Jicchaku's forces are likely to take advantage of the tensions between the local Hosians in Statrica and their anti-Hosian rulers in Indrala. Encountering limited resistance, Sekowan forces are now rapidly advancing into Indralan territory in Dovani.
