Aristocrat Ebrietatis

OOC: Read the declaration of war, here's the map of the current troops, and because I'm tired and a bit drunk right now (hence the title), I'll write Aristocrat's speech tomorrow, so Pontesi prepare yourself!

He looked upon the crippled old face, and suddenly he painfully remembered what had happened a few days ago. It was a utter embarrassment to his whole military career, being one of the few shameful men to flee the Salnaeta battle, and after days in hiding, he had led his comrades back to the Baltusian border. How sorrow war was, and how he blindly loved Baltusia but hated the GPO for its close minded leader. Stupid, stupid, how stupid he was.

"I hope you are ready Rodriguez", the old man kindly said and suddenly the man in uniform felt admiration for Aristocrat's voice, for indeed it was sweet and mysterious like hell. Damn that old fool. He nodded, unable to find proper words.

Aristocrat smiled, tied a bit his wonderful silk black suit and combed his hair while looking at the nearby mirror. He had not been there, in the battlefield; he hadn't looked upon the dead faces and the dying eyes, all lost in the endless river of blood on the green grass. Smoke and despair, not pain; that's all Rodriguez could remember. And he felt nauseous about it, for there was the monster that started all of this, smiling and desiring even further glory. A scheme he had come up with - that sick old bastard, how sorry he was that he couldn't strangle that little shit. But he was forced to smile gently when Aristocrat straightened his back, placed his comb inside his pocket and prepared to exit the little uncomfortable room with no windows. Stupid country; Kafuristan was a deserted land occupied by a bunch of hypocrite little antagonizing dirty f...

"Shall we?", was Aristocrat's polite gesture pinpointing the exit. Rodriguez, with an apparently blank gaze, followed the hand and opened the door. Both men walked silently along the corridors, with the old warmongering man walking in front, leading the way along this pretentious building that was the GPO's headquarters. He felt sick as many memories flashed in his head; of excruciating pain and the sound of tanks bombing the guts out of the military division in Gaduridos. Oh the shame and stupidity of his weak mind...!

And there they were, amongst a crowded huge room, with many officials wandering around Aristocrat, and Rodriguez was suddenly blinded by the continuous claps of the cameras and the flashes and all the terrible ranting and noise of the emotionless media. He wanted to scream and cry; he wanted to curse, spit on Aristocrat's face and storm out, and head for Baltusia, to honor the men he had stupidly and blindly led to total annihilation - it was all his fault. With a bitter face, like all the world had gone, he climbed the stairs to the elevated stage and sat right to the left of Aristocrat, who was now smiling with disgusting pleasure, satisfied by this attention and how his plan of using Rodriguez as the victim of further Pontesian atrocities would work and how glorified again he would be. Sick bastard.

But nothing mattered to Rodriguez himself. He just sat there, again with the blank expression, but this time the emotion was damn real. And it was painful, for all those memories returned, and despite him trying to trash them, he could not forget. Emptiness had occupied the place where once pride and dignity stood, as well as the will to live. He held his incoming sobs with great force, struggling, but he could not hold the tear that bitterly ran down his cheek.

"What have I done?"

Unknown Location - 22:00 17th June 2782

Colonel Robert Coben, the tall, dapper chief of the Pontesian Dynastic Empire national security council put the telephone down after short conversation with General Lawrence Baranov before hurried out of his office. He walk briskly to the Operation Centre.

Coben pushed quickly through the door and hurried into the vast chamber beyond. He could see row upon row of control consoles. The officers at each consoles were either busy monitering the satellite and early warning radar system in their charge, or conferring quietly via secure communication equipment with collegues at launch sites, ground station, and local command posts across Pontesi.

At the far end of the Center, an enormus, wall-sized screen showed the world and the map of Gaduridos and Pontesi. The duty officer, a sergeant named Barry, hurried to Coben's side. "We've detected an unidentified fleets approaching Nardarian Beach in Dandratur." he said.

"Could it be that Aristocrat and the GPO are making their first move?" Colonel response with the first thought that pass through his mind. The sergeant quickly check his screen again, sweat can be seen on his face despite the fact that the room is at 24 celcius. "I would said that it is of a high possibility sir, but Dynastic Fleet is also in the area with DCS Wessex. There are almost impossible for any forces with this large size to move undetected through the area."

"Alert them now, and get me Chancellor of Defense!"

Grand-Vizier General Office, Lerna - 21:45 17th June 2782

Grand-Vizier General Jonathan Carrick led his guest into the darkened office and flipped on the lights. With one hand, he put his coat on the table and turn back to his guest. "I need the status report." he said quietly.

His Military Aide, Major General Annette Gardner quietly answer, "Everything is going as you plan, Grand-Vizier General. We're holding strong in the mainland, the forces are in place, the recon team have infiltrate our target territory, our intelligence have done excellent job covering everything up so far, we're currently losing badly in Vintalli, but that is expected if we're to concentrate on the mainland. Our trap for the Baltusia works perfectly, but we also suffer a heavy casualty as well, approximately 100,241 mens."

He look at the face of his aide, noting the demeanor in which she speak shows her excitement in the situation despite the losing of more then hundred-thousond mens. "Resistance in the mainland?" Carrick asked.

"Little to none."

"Good, initiate the second phase of the operation, burn them down, all of them."

"It will be done, sir." Gardner nodded before turn back and start to walk out.

Kafuristan - 21:00 July 7, 2782

"Ladies and gentlemen of the international media, first of all, I would like to thank you for coming here and responding to my humble call for a press conference at these difficult times we face. Knowing the world is still interested in peacekeeping matters makes me truly happy. In our wonderful and divine peacekeeping cause to liberate Terra from the atrocities of sinful governments and regimes, we hope that our friends support us and will guide us through the tenderness of their hearts.

Now, you may all wonder why I have called this press conference so suddenly. Well, we have all seen the events of the Salnaeta conflict, and the monstrous attempts of the Pontesian government to kill all peacekeepers. Baltusia mourns, for the loss of its great soldiers is a bitter event marking even the oldest of us. History will never forget, and especially the people who suffer under the benign wrath of the Pontesian empire, which is so completely marked with the twisted marks of evil that is difficult to distinguish the real faces beneath those horrid masks. We fought with bravery; our brothers, our dear comrades of the Global Peacekeeping Organization fought with chivalry. But we will not forget, despite the terrible loss, we will not forget! For we shall remember the hearts and innocent minds of those poor soldiers, lying dead in the battlefields in Salnaeta, being stepped over by Pontesian cruelness. They shall not perish in vanity, for we shall remember their cause and we shall honor the acts; we shall not forget nor forgive!

Mr. Rodriguez Baltu is here with us, ground commander of the Baltusian Western Front. He led many wounded and not troops into the safety of the Baltusian border, away from the Pontesian mass murderers. He is one of the purest examples of bravery and sincere dignity, a strong will of purposefulness and the need to survive and to save as many lives. And I've called him here in Kafuristan, for I wish him to accompany me in our march against Pontesi itself, for we are ready to crush those warmongering pigs and to bring justice to the people of Gaduridos and Pontesi. We do not distinguish between nationalities, but we simply aid those who need us, especially those under authoritarian regimes, suffering from the anxiety of their leaders, of the Pontesian government.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, citizens of Kafuristan, comrades; I shall lead the Kafuri Divine Fleet outside Pontesian national waters, to meet with the Eastern Peacekeeping Front and the Northern Military Command. Justice shall prevail!"

Rodriguez turned his head slightly and looked upon the happy man now smiling to the flashing cameras. Sick bastard.

Outside Pontesian national waters - 10:00 May 2, 2783

"Is every vessel ready, including our divine transporters?", Aristocrat asked.

"Yes sir", was the confident response of Rodriguez, who was standing expressionless beside the Commander.

"Damn Pontesian beaches are very nice. And the breeze, it's so wonderful, almost peaceful. Damn to those Pontesians, this land could have been rightfully ours, property of the south!", Aristocrat whispered, almost laughing. Rodriguez and the two guards at the door seemed somewhat confused during that specific time. But the moment was gone and Aristocrat's wicked smile had vanished. He was again the crippled disgusting, somewhat really old man; the absolute divine Commander of the GPO! In many great honors did he leave from Kafuristan and he certainly seemed to enjoy it. Blasted fool, I bet he'll get high on the upcoming deaths of fellow soldiers, Rodriguez angrily thought.

"Alert all the aircraft carriers. Prepare all personnel and bring the command of the submarines on the speaker. Time to set the parameters. I also wish to send our transporters in the front, on the verge of entering Pontesian national waters. I think ground troops will be needed for what I am thinking.", Aristocrat said, one hand in pocket, the other swaying in front of the control panel of the control tower. "Still here Rodriguez?", he turned and looked at the surprised man in the middle of the room.

"Yes sir!", Rodriguez suddenly said, determination appearing in his face. He turned and headed for the door, only to hesitate in front of the two guards, who continued to look apathetically to the void. But the moment, once again, was gone and he reached his hand, finally opened the door and went to execute the commands. He thought of nothing - he just felt empty.

Outside Pontesian national waters - 10:00 February 4, 2784

"So this shit actually works?", the old man asked, again with that stupid annoying tone of his.

"Yes sir, of course", Rodriguez replied back, always emotionless, like a proper army guy. Aristocrat looked at him cautiously and for that moment Rodriguez realized how similar the old man was to normal everyday old people; you see them in the street, ranting about politics, scratching their disgusting bottoms and waving wih coherence about everything. It's they know everything and the rest knows nothing. He wondered how that fool managed to stay in power for so long; must have a lot of good allies or in the more realistic way to think it, asses to kiss.

"I am John Aristocrat, Omnipotent Lord of Absolute Power, Holder of All Virgins, Protector of the Arab Premises and Master of all Oil Available, Divine Guider of all People, Holder of the Sacred Stones of Justice, the Undoubtable Mind and Heart, Grand Secretariat and Unquestionable Judge of Kafuristan and I hereby order the Pontesian government, with the power given to me by the GPO Grand Legislation as Grand Secretariat and Peacekeeper of all Mankind, to withdraw from Gaduridos, declare cease-fire and eliminate any defense barriers for the safe entrance of all GPO troops within the mainland, for proper evaluation of the crimes committed by the current Pontesian government. We come in peace and are willing to go to war for peace. Please, acknowledge your and our position.

You shall have an extended deadline to respond. Meanwhile, our aircrafts will be conducting regular flight routes just outside your national waters, from both the east and the north premises, in order to certify the proper parameters are met. Pending your official military surrender to our international organization and the recognision of a victorious declaration of war, the Pontesian government will be restricted by GPO officials and administration of the nation shall be granted to me. Please be wise.

In case of denial of all the above demands, the Global Peacekeeping Organization shall proceed aggresively towards completing its goals, so for the sake of your citizens and your dignity and integrity, surrender or face the consequences.", he formally said, and the message was recorded and sent by the offices in duty seating in front of a variety of consoles. Finally, after some silence, Aristocrat raised his head and looked at the sunset in the horizon, the sun diving beneath the mountains of Pontesi.

"Rodriguez, make sure those nukes are ready and the protective fighters loaded", he whispered, "we must be ready before sunrise".

It was morning - fog covered the vast space of the sea, and the air smelled salty moisture. The Pontesian shoreline seemed even closer as the sun rose from behind. He could see the smoke from his pipe rise up and vanish into the clear morning sky. It was a perfect feeling, total relaxation, while he caught himself swaying to the music notes of the air multiple times.

"Excuse me sir", a young man's voice sounded from the left. Aristocrat turned his head to look upon the newcomer, and felt truly disappointed by the fact that it was a simple member of the guard. He continued to look at him silently, and the man did not know whether to speak or not. He finally gathered some courage and opened his mouth to speak.

"What is it that you want?", John Aristocrat said, interrupting the man, and for the first time, he sounded full of apathy, of boredom, of that certain aura that distinguishes good men from those cold hearted bastards who seek only to find meaning at the expense of whatever.

"Yes, sir, Mr. Celius Maximilian, Keeper of the Aristocrat Order, is on the line and wants to speak directly to you", the young soldier said. Aristocrat looked at him with quite an odd look and began walking towards the control tower. Many men greeted him along his pathway, and as he climbed the stairs, he noticed the newcomer was gone. Thoughts of torturing his guts on the flight deck someday ran through his disgusting mind. He reached the control booth and picked up the black phone.

"Celius, what is the purpose of this call?", he asked. For quite a few moments he remained still, listening to the man on the other end of the line. His expression did not change even when he spoke. "Thank you Celius, you'll soon hear from me". He placed the speaker in its position, straightened his back and looked at the silent officers. "Send all the transporters back to Kafuristan, escorted by two battleships and four frigates. Make sure those orders are followed exactly as required. I will sign an executive GS document handing all military administration of that command to Mr. Celius Maximilian. Mr. Donas, please make sure this document is safely passed to the target man.", he sighed and as everyone continued to remain still, he shouted: "Move!"

"Copy that, Divine Guide", the pilot said between the awful sound coming from the aircraft. It was deep and full of purpose. "Fifteen minutes to target".

"Roger that", was the radio's response. A grumpy, exhausted old voice - but he could tell that it was anxious and had apparently been waiting for this quite a long time. But none of the crew of the administration ever said anything. They had to obey.

February 2786

The wind was howling. Or was it something else? It seemed distant and very intriguing. It seemed powerful and full of energy. Aristocrat could almost smell the glory of it, full of purpose and determination. It had a single great target and a magnificent objective to fulfil. He finally sighed, tasting the saltiness of the air and listening to the whispers of the shoreline in front.

And as he contemplated upon the total necessity of imagining what had yet to come, as his thoughts rambled about casting away all other measures, and as his heart sprinted along the lines of total satisfaction and absolute individuality, a terrible and monstrous flash appeared in the horizon, far beyond the mountains that united the land and stars of Pontesi. He controlled his vastly erupting emotions as a second flash, a few seconds away, appeared in the sky, and they both lit what was to be day within the night.

Finally, standing there alone, he smiled. Ah, the pleasure of it all!

Sladjie, Dandratur - February 2786 - 24 Hours after the Nuclear Attack

Once a beautiful city, Sladjie is in ruined. A huge explosion, a vast eruption of fire that destroyed everything in its path, in the matter of a single moment, the entire city disappeared, taking with it everyone living within it. GPO had their first strike and it hurt Pontesi more then our 100 years war with Beiteynu.

"Alright Captain, tell your men to get moving, I want the field hospital set up in 30 mins." said a calm, familiar voice from my right. A quick flicker of my eyes in the direction revealed Maj. Derrick who had just arrived from another choppers. He is in full Hazmat suit, the same one that everyone is wearing. I slowly looks around the city or at least what is remained of the city. Sladjie used to be my vacation spot during my leave time. The beautiful mountain near the city have my favorite skiing spot and drinking beer here are the best expeirence you will ever get.

I guess I will never get to do either of that again.

"Understood, Sir." I replied to Maj. Derrick before directing others member in the unit to quickly setup a tent and field hospital.

After several minutes getting everybody to work together, I start surveying the area around the landing site. We are 30 km from ground zero, but even with this distance, we still know that we have limited time to find survivors before we needs to withdrawl ourself. The radioactive is far too severe to allow us to stay long and is survivor are to be found then it must be done as quickly as possible.

That is if their are any one left at all.
