What we need, part 1: We need a register of nations which will be involved. This needs to be publically posted. Each nation should have some designated player which runs point for it.
Why we need that: We need to understand who is participating (for part 2), and we need to understand who can "speak" for that nation as we coordinate this RP.

What we need, part 2: We need an overarching outline made which incorporates the general roles of each nation and timing of events. This won't dictate RP on a post-by-post basis, but it will highlight generally important events, the way the war begins and ends, etc.
Why we need that: This will ensure everyone knows in general and beforehand what to expect the outcome of the war to be, and nobody ends up rage quitting because somebody shoots (to steal Doc's phrase, which basically means somebody goes way off base and makes a move nobody likes). This will also allow us to make sure we involve everyone meaningfully.

What we need, part 3: In accordance with rule 21.3:
23.1 Role-play events between nations, such as wars, will be officially recognised if before they are commenced, in all of the concerned nations a RP event bill outlining the event is approved by a 2/3rds majority of all players with seats (not just those with seats who vote) and over 50% of the seats in the legislature. This bill must specify the necessary and possible consequences of the role-play event, as well as a clause that deals with the eventuality of one or more players becoming absent for more than a specified time, and how such an absence is to be interpreted in in-game terms.

in every nation that will be participating, we need an identical RP Event bill proposed and properly passed.
Why we need that: It's the rules, you dolts.

General outline of the RP
  • Slave riots in Deltaria trigger genocide by the regime.
  • Hutori threatens military action against Deltaria if the genocide is not halted, and Trigunia threatens to invade Hutori if they get involved.
  • Further revolts by Majatrans in Deltaria prompt the Czar to request intervention by Trigunia.
  • Cildania, opposed to Deltaria and an ally of Vanuku, attempts to intercept the Trigunian navy before it enters the Majatran Sea. The Trigunian navy easily wins the battle, perhaps sinking significant pieces of it and “triggering” the war?
  • Vanuku declares war on Trigunia, citing Trigunian meddling in Majatra and the destruction of the Cildanian fleet. They move to engage the Trigunians in the Majatran Sea. Barmenia and Indrala also declare war on Trigunia in support of Vanuku.
  • Deltaria declares war on Vanuku, Barmenia, Indrala and Cildania in support of Trigunia,
  • Jelbania and Pontesi overzealously interpret the stipulations of the Cachtice Security Pact and declare war on Vanuku & co. as well. Jelbanian and Deltarian forces move north into Vanuku, Pontesian forces move south into Barmenia.
  • Hutori, with its tense relations with Trigunia and its hatred for Deltarian slavery, declares war on both Trigunia & co. and launches an assault on the Trigunian homeland, making it unlikely allies with its enemy Vanuku. The two make up <3.
  • The Trigunian fleet, having fought the Vanukean fleet in the Sea of Majatra and aware of the Hutorian attack, disengages and sets sail full steam for the Makon/Keris front, leaving the Majatran front to its allies.
  • HEREAFTER SPLIT THE WAR TO THREE FRONTS, probably three threads like "PWW: Majatra Front" and "PWW: Keris Front" and "PWW: Dovani Front" or something.

For purposes of this outline I'm going to do the two fronts separately, but the timelines will have to intermesh somehow.

Majatra front
Vanuku/Barmenia/Cildania/Cobura v. Deltaria/Pontesi/Jelbania
  • Vanuku easily handles the Jelbic/Deltarian invasion in the south and pushes into the Baniray Steppe and up the coast of Rilmos. Their advances in the Steppe are costly due to raids by Jelbek guerillas. Not gorillas, simply because we probably don't have them, geographically speaking. But we'll throw everything but the kitchen sink at ya. Advance on the coast is much more easy because you've got naval superiority. But don't get a big head about it, we've only got a row boat, it's easy to be superior.
  • Barmenia, with the help of Vanuku, is able to resist the initial Pontesian advance but, after some gains into the Pontesian homeland, is repulsed by Crimson Crusader fanatics. The Barmenian Apostolic Army and the Crimson Crusade fight a bloody war in the lowlands of southern Pontesi.
  • Cobura, seeing Deltaria preoccupied in the north and seeing itself as the protector of the Majatran ethnicity, invades Deltaria from the south.
  • Vanuku finally reaches the Perimor Steppe and enters Baofluz. I want some sort of dramatic event, like maybe the Hajan attempts to stab the Vanukean envoy as they meet, and he gets killed, or something, but the Jelbic Khanate ultimately is defeated and a puppet government is installed, with serious resistance and guerilla warfare from the cartels, roving Jelbek warrior bands, and maybe even the corporate narcotics distributors if Wiel is less cool with crazy tax free corporate devolution? Might be interesting.
  • Now able to commit more forces to the Pontesi front, Vanuku reinforces the Barmenians there and the renewed effort leads to the collapse of Pontesi’s resistance. Pontesi surrenders and is forced from the war.
  • Deltaria, faced with imminent engagement with the Vanukeans and under pressure from the Coburans, surrenders, ending the war in Majatra (though resistance continues in Jelbania and Deltaria).

Keris/Makon front
Trigunia v. Hutori/Hobrazia/New Endralon
  • As the Trigunian navy heads north to fight off the Hutorian invasion, the Hobrazian navy attempts to intercept it near Keymon. Trigunia easily handles the Hobrazian navy and proceeds northward.
  • Hutori proceeds with a relatively successful amphibious invasion of western Trigunia for some time, given the absence of the bulk of the Trigunian navy.
  • New Endralon launches a relatively unsuccessful assault on eastern Trigunia which is mostly a holding-war. The New Endralonians are hesitant to overcommit, and the Trigunians are very concerned re: a two front war.
  • The Trigunian navy arrives after some time and fights its way through the Hutorian blockade, taking heavy casualties as a result, but eventually cuts off most of the Hutorian invasion force. They proceed to mop up, but both sides are exhausted and enter peace talks (see below).

Dovani/Seleya front
Indrala/Gaduridos v. Mikuni-Hulstria/Kalistan
  • Indrala moves its fleets northward through Gaduridan waters to attempt to aid the Hutorians in their invasion of Trigunia. The movements are unsettling to Kalistan who's been at odds with Indrala for a while now.
  • Kalistan attempts to intercept an Indralan ship, or something similar, and Indrala launches an invasion of Ananto.
  • Gaduridos tags along and launches an invasion of the Kalistani mainland.
  • Mikuni-Hulstria, eager to establish itself as the true ruler of the Goa-showan nations, launches a surprise assault on the distracted Indralans, who abandon the invasion of Ananto and leave Kalistan to the Gaduridans.
  • An invasion of the Indralan homeland by Mikuni-Hulstria proceeds, which is eventually fought off by the Indralans who eliminate the invasion capability of Mikuni-Hulstria. The brunt of the fighting ends after a pyrrhic victory for Indrala in a naval battle in the Anatanese Ocean, which inspires both nations to join peace talks (see below).
  • Gaduridos and Kalistan fight a long guerilla war in Kalistan, which eventually becomes too expensive for Gaduridos to sustain alone. With Indrala's fatigue, they recognize they won't have the help they need to finish the war victoriously and so join the peace talks (see below).

And bring it back together now
  • Vanuku, victorious but fatigued in Majatra, sues for peace and suggests the creation of a UN type organization.
  • Trigunia, victorious but fatigued in Keris/Makon, accepts the offer of peace on the condition that the Deltarian czars be allowed to remain in power, effectively meaning that Trigunian influence there will be unremoved.
  • Vanuku isn't thrilled but accepts the terms, on the condition that Trigunia also assent to the inclusion of Hutori on the permanent security council (if there will be one), essentially representing a permanently anti-Trigunian presence on the council.
  • Hutori captures multiple nuclear devices in the invasion of Trigunia which they smuggle back to Hutori.
  • Indrala and Mikuni-Hulstria eventually agree to peace terms that utilize Sekowo as a buffer state where neither is allowed undue influence.
  • Trigunia agrees, bringing the war to a close with tensions high.

Major post-war effects
  • Creation of a UN-type organization, housed in Vanuku(?) which all of the players in the war join. Security council includes Vanuku, Trigunia, Hutori, Indrala, Mikuni-Hulstria, and perhaps either Luthori or Dorvik, to be decided IC at end of war. These have veto-power.
  • Vanuku extends its influence over Jelbania (puppet regime) and Trigunia extends its influence over Deltaria.
  • Hutori and New Endralon/Kizenia have axes to grind in the post-war world, and gravitate more toward Indrala and each other.
  • Mikuni-Hulstria and Indrala establish a truce which declares Sekowo a neutral zone.

Indrala would be more than happy to get involved. I will probably have to play, at the outset, a supporting role, but Indrala has a string of naval bases leading to Majatra, so over time, I could participate more fully with Indrala.

Which side would you be aligned with? I've added you and Polites to the register, either way

Gaduridos is in! I'm going to put an OOC bill in front of the other parties and will hopefully run point, and I've been in discussions with Deltaria about an RP war event anyway. As I'm sure you've seen, Gaduridos and Deltaria have had an in-game conflict already so it makes sense for us to join.

OOC: I like the idea, and would be happy to participate on Deltaria's behalf, maybe before hand Trigunia and Deltaria could deepen ties making Deltaria the equivalent of eastern europe to the soviets, as for the begining of the event I like it.

As for during the event, I'd like to see Gaduridos involved since they first spoke up to Deltaria's human rights abuses

Rude. Looks like the pro-Trigunia side gets the best 1/4 of the RP team.

Added Deltaria and Gaduridos.
