Crownlander Staatsminister Heumayr, Finance Minister Goddestreu and Vize-Staatsminister Karolu Mori were greeted at Tian'an International Airport with pomp and circumstance provided by the Emperor's traditional "Kyo Guard," as well as members from the Armed Forces. Escorted by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Lotus Party Leader Xi Rushi, the delegation made its way to the Grand Assembly Building, where they had a working lunch with Foreign Minister Liu Jinghao, Defence Minister General Lin Wenyue, and Xi Rushi.
Xi, Leader of the Lotus Party and a long-time ally of the modern Septemberist movement, congratulated the Staatsminister on the recent reformation and restoration of the Crownlander government. Foreign Minister Liu also asserted her belief in the possibility for fruitful relations between the two Dovani powers, speaking to media before the lunch.
"We see in this Septemberist government a rational, pragmatic and multiculturalist direction for Hulstria/Gao-Soto," said Liu, "the Indralan government is operating in complete faith in the government in Kien and in its ability to reconcile the genocidal violence of the past with a vision for stability and peace in the future." Xi added, in rough Dundorfian, "
Aus Schaden wird man klug," or "adversity is the mother of wisdom."
The Foreign Minister is said to have proposed that Indrala and Hulstria/Gao-Soto begin to enter negotiations to sign a comprehensive free-trade agreement in the style of the
Indrala-New Endralon CFTA, in order to facilitate Indralan investment in the recovering Crownlander economy. The Foreign Minister accepted an invitation from the Crownlander delegation to attend the upcoming Dovani Economic Forum.
From the Grand Assembly Building, the Crownlander delegation was taken for a tour of the
National Gallery of Indrala and
Tian'an National University, Indrala's premier advanced education institution. Academics and researchers from across Indrala had a meeting with the delegation to explore closer ties, especially in the field of cultural and historical archaeology. Recent
Order of the Blossoming Peony recipient and longtime Dean of Kaizhou National University Ma Sichun has
long stressed the importance of archaeological findings in unravelling the "labyrinthian cultural history of Dovani and of Indrala." Crownlander Vize-Staatsminister Karolu Mori has spoken in the past about his desire to encourage cooperative bilateral research projects.
In the following morning, the group visited the
Qianhuayuan, or "Thousand-flower Garden," private residence of His Imperial Majesty's grandsons, Princes' Jianlong and Jianhao. Prince Jianlong received a message from the Mikado of Gao-Soto in place of the Son of Heaven. The Prince, however, courteously declined the invitation from the Mikado for the Tianshun Emperor to visit Miyako out of filial concern for his Holy Grandfather's advanced age. Instead, the Prince presented the delegation with a Minzhu Dynasty
carved laquer phoenix box (it was during the Minzhu Dynasty when the Phoenix and Dragon Treaty was ratified) filled with aged teas and an invitation to the Mikado and his family to visit the Heavenly City. A great honour, no foreign head of state has yet entered the Heavenly City since the proclamation of the Yu Dynasty. The delegation was invited to spend the evening at the
Quanhuayuan.
From Tian'an, the Crownlanders flew to Kaizhou where they spent the remainder of their trip in discussions with business leaders. It is said that Indralan investors were very eager to enter the Crownland market, viewing the nation's economy as poised for a resurgence similar to the
Jiaozhi Miracle.
