This is betrayal to me
September 7, 4485
LWA chairman and Health Minister Sol Keyes feels outrageous. His party's coalition partner has reached an agreement with the opposition on forming a new Cabinet, putting LWA in opposition. President Evan Donitz regrets the choice of SDP.
"For decades we had our parties working closely together to make Lodamun better and we were looking forward to another couple of decades of cooperation. LWA has given everything to ameliorate Lodamun and the wellbeing of its citizens, yet these backstabbing basterds will ruin it all. We were on the edge of something big, we had contacts and contracts all over Terra. I believe all our work will prove to be pointless." Keyes said.
President Donitz was calm, but saddened: "Do I feel betrayed? Not really. This is the way democracy works. But I must admit I didn't see that one coming. If only our coalition partners would have spoken to Mr. Keyes or my late brother. I feel that the death of my brother meant the beginning of the end. The bright future Lodamun faced could turn into something else. But I must insist that LWA will try to work constructively with the new Cabinet. And I will continue my tasks as President of the Republic, for all of our citizens. From next month on, I will be on an island as a figure of speech. I can only say that this means a challenge to me, and I will defend all of the good things my brother and those before him have done for the benefit of the nation."
What bothers LWA is the fact that they have no idea how the new coalition will handle the international agreements. Bart Wranckx, Minister of Foreign Affairs currently is travelling to nations with which Lodamun has agreements, probably to reassure their leaders that Lodamun will not breack a given word.
