Large group of activists form the Popular Roundtable against the Republican Party
6th January 5315
A large group of centrists, liberals, socialist, communists, secularists, ecologists and many other groups came together against the far-right Hosian fundamentalist Republican Party to form the Popular Roundtable - United We Stand, a big-tent party that its ideology ranges from center to far-left, with also some center-right factions. Remarkably, the Popular Roundtable chose the slogan "We will get through this crisis, together!", referring to the rule of the Republican Party as a "crisis" and urging the people to unite to get through that crisis.
The party includes various factions ranging from conservative liberalism up to communism, however, in general the social democrats, democratic socialists, and left-wing populists are the most visible factions, with also social liberals being a notable faction, while the others being less influential on the internal politics of the party. The party has presented a manifesto to the Congress that proposes to reverse many ultra-conservative and racist policies, with a focus on reversing the "damage" made by Hosian fundamentalists and bringing about a secular-progressive sociopolitical transition in Lodamun.
However, the party is now very new and any hope that it would win would be premature and perhaps false hope, as the elections are four years after today and it is possible that the voters could "make a fool of" the Popular Roundtable and decide to re-elect the Republican Party, as the political landscape evolves the new party garners more attention from various political groups.
