Alduria begins cultural revival in Nouvelle-Orange; N-7 Highway Completed in Nouvelle-Orange
The Parmentier Administration, recently elected only a year ago has taken on the mantle of continuing the War on Poverty. This has come with a form of cultural revival in Nouvelle-Orange, being a region of Alduria with more historic ties to the Commonwealth and Luthori. The Administration has looked to revive the unique culture of Nouvelle-Orange, and has looked to the regions unique history; monarchs and royalism.
Quite recently, Luthori, an esteemed ally of Alduria gifted a statue of Phillip II Villayn, the Emperor of Alduria who had married the Empress of Luthori, Mary I of Orange, a long while ago. The statue, with one in Luthori, consists of both monarchs holding hands, in a show of unity. The statue in Alduria has recently been unveiled in Pelloutier, capital of Nouvelle-Orange.
Across Nouvelle-Orange, various other statues dedicated to the regions unique history, such as monarchs, important figures and statues of the working class have been constructed. The goal is to renew a sense of cultural pride in the region and revive the unique Nouvelle-Orange culture.
On the flip side, the N-7 Highway has been completed, linking the capital of Nouvelle-Orange to the capital of Bendérie. The results has seen goods to and from Nouvelle-Orange able to be exported and imported. The results are expected to allow economic growth for the region to occur, with the Parmentier Administration looking to greatly expand the education scope in Nouvelle-Orange, and ultimately the rest of country. The administration also has interest in expanding the Agricultural Industry, focusing on Nouvelle-Orange.
The completion of the N-7 Highway has helped the regions unemployment crisis, and with new connections, Pelloutier has the capacity to reopen various small businesses and hire workers. This is expected to greatly help the struggling region.
Whatever the case, optimism remains cautious in Nouvelle-Orange. The region is making a slow gradual recovery but will still need more pumping from the government for a recovery in a reasonable time. In the rest of the country, the outlook on the War on Poverty is more optimistic but still determined.
