It has to be recognized that the World Congress hasn't worked as it should have, we agree, but we find the reason of that non-ideal functioning in the limited enforceability of the WC's decisions and the lack of cooperation and interest in working out diplomatic solutions. Enforceability, mind, should not come from military retaliatory operations, which should exist in our view as a last resort option, but from non-military actions like sanctions and global isolation - with the purpose of cutting the economic lifeline of the country who's found in violation by the SC.
About the role of the Security Council, we don't feel like it should be abolished, it should serve as a body with a few representatives in it who can quickly decide about the pressing matters it face, but for it to work correctly, the nations holding office should not hold it for prestige reasons, but whether to present themselves as the voice of their continent. It means that the elected nation holding a SC seat, should work in coordination with their regional partners and its colleagues - this is something that I have not seen in the past, and it is one of the reasons the WC has not worked correctly.

With absolutely no disrespect toward our dundorfian brethren, we feel like your opinion comes from a place of wholehearted benevolence but you have seen the same Artania we did. Certain... nations on the continent have tried and tried again to act as its official "voice." How did that turn out? It just made them rivals. And if we dont need anything its rivalry for speaking for the continent. We should all acknowledge, recognise and respect that there is no possible way that one nation can unite all the interests of a continent behind its back even if it may seem like they do. The ideas we have brought forth are just formalizing what already is the case, the WC and the SC have failed everything else aside from symbolic wordplay.
