Lauren Bython Elected President
Bython with her husband and her campaign managers after her Presidency Win
December 3720
Lauren Byhton has won the presidency of Kirlawa for the second time. The past KLP leader was very happy and enthusiastic after her win. Bython ran a very rough less campaign and recived the VVR's support right from the start, she was the most likeable candidate in the race but not the one favoured to win, the IULP's candidate Janice De'Blair who was fully endorsed by the KNFA and the KPJP.
In the first round she came out in second about 8 Million votes behind the IULP's Janice De'Blair, while the GPK's incumbent president Flora Forrest finnished 3rd ending her incumbency and the Newly reformed DFM's Peter Wereman finished 4th. In the second round she came out on top gaining the support of the GPK, she received roughly 1 Million votes more than De'Blair, much of a gap than her last presidency win when she finished 16 Million votes ahead the KNFA's Rita Water.
Bython is hoping to bring Kirlawa closer to other nations and is fiercely internationalist. She says she wishes to privatize healthcare but to subsidize the cost for all citizens that way the government does not have to pay for hospitals and can leave the construction of them in the hands of the private sector. She us a supporter of nuclear weapon use and wishes to make their use legal in dire circumstances. Bython is especially excited for her first question period.
Polls show that Bythons approval rating has increased since being elected from 54% to 68% a 12% increase.
